Kinda sucks that nearly all of our everyday problems can be traced back to corporate greed. One more thing that sucks is how little people are willing to talk about this. I don't understand why people are just sick of seeing NN news plastered everywhere, because it's actually a big deal and in real danger. I think I missed something. I'll look further into it. Sending an email now. Also signed the petition, we're at over 300k now. i would rather have nn plastered everywhere than "pay $99.99 to unlock" LuL |

When net neutrality first became a law the country was complaining. Now when they are trying to repeal the law the country is complaining.

I already pay enough for my internet, I don't want to pay extra just because ISPs want more money. Free WiFi areas will need to pay extra just so you can use the internet freely. The internet started off as a free community. As long as you had connection, you could've done whatever the hell you wanted. We need to keep it like that. Without net neutrality, the freedom of the internet is gone, and the technology industry will take a big hit.

The examples of Portugal's internet fees don't exactly apply to the US because in the US, ISPs aren't competitive, but they are in Portugal. ISPs here have no reason to compete. Also, censorship and blocking of the internet has been done by other companies like Google and Facebook to censor content that doesn't adhere to their political views. It kind of seems like both options kind of suck for keeping a "free and open" internet if that happens.

It's kinda scary having the knowledge that Net Neutrality might be revoked tomorrow, and that I might be prohibited to even log on to the forum.
