Honestly, we shouldn't be focusing on the "level judge" issue right now, it's what's going on in forum management and amongst the level judges themselves. The whole forum was temporarily shut down in order to introduce a new system for these levels, and so far it is going horrendously. This new system is not hard to get right whatsoever, but the admins/moderators appear to have no idea what they are doing, and if this "hatred" thing is going on between level judges things are only going to get worse. What is the point in deleting thousands of people's posts, some of which people had worked lengthy periods of time on, only to go and implement a system that nobody is willing to follow properly? What kind of monumental plonker decided to allow level judges to give official verdicts on levels but not allow them to move threads to the appropriate sub-forum? What kind of lunacy is required in order to choose people you don't even like or trust to become a level judge? This whole thing seems like it wasn't even thought out, let alone thought out properly. The only solution I can think of is starting fresh. We can't continue with moderators who don't trust the level judges and level judges that don't trust each other. I still can't imagine what was running through the admins/mods minds when they decided to choose people they don't like or trust to do something that required heaploads of trust. What's happened here is a system has been implemented by them and now they are doing almost everything possible to make it impossible to do. Where is the logic in this? The moderators need to re-think who should be level judges and choose people who are not only capable of writing a half-decent, well-written review on a level, but also someone they believe they can trust and get along with. It is hard to explain why this didn't happen in the first place, but it didn't. It's almost as if they decided to just choose at random, if I am honest. I am not saying that you level judges are bad at your job, I am just emphasising on the fact that the organisers did exactly what they shouldn't have done; virtually nothing. The admins/moderators ought to reconsider giving level judges at least the power to move threads, but I have no idea what powers can be given individually on this forum. Thing is though, if it isn't possible to do individually, it brings me back to the point of "trust", so it shouldn't matter if somebody gets a few extra "powers" thrown in if they can trust the person they are giving it to. Some of the level judges need to grow up and start acting responible and begin to do everything they possibly can to get their job done (which many aren't) and build trust and a positive relation with those who chose them to do level reviewing. There is no point in being assigned a task that you are never going to do and show such levels of irresponsibility towards those who chose them to do what is, quite honestly, a rather simple task. I've been having a go at it myself (if nobody has noticed) and it takes very little time to indeed, and I am pretty sure my reviews aren't that bad. The level judges need to start working together in order to get their job done properly. Wouldn't it be a load better if several level judges reviewed a level so that the opinions can be combined, therefore giving a more accurate and thorough verdict on the level, meaning it is less likely to end up in what most people believe to be the wrong sub-forum? How can the reviewing be accurately done when only one person with limited time is the one willing to do all the reviewing? Once all of this has been reconisdered and thought through properly by the moderators, maybe then it would be an idea for them to ask who is willing to write reviews. It's their job, and right now they are doing it appallingly. /rant Well, let's clear up some things. First of all, during the maintenance mode, one of the staff accidentally wiped the entire forum, except for the Creative Utilities subforum. That's why the old Level Suggestions board is gone. We could only recover General Discussion, and that's it. The whole Level Judge system was my idea, and I decided to bring it from the SMBX forums. I thought it would work out here like it does there, and tbh I think you're underestimating it. Lots of great creators have been noticed! I do agree that the other mods could put a bit more trust in the level judges, but R4Z0R is unable to access this website because of his strict family, and that's why no one has permissions. I'm sorry that I haven't been more active in that board, but I'm pretty wrapped up in my schoolwork and haven't really been able to play GD that much :/

r4z0r will be back soon though... and how often do I have to say this: ITS NOT A MODS MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY TO JUDGE LEVELS, THAT'S WHY WE HAVE LEVEL JUDGES Like I said earlier.. There are really only 3 active level judges, one of which isn't even listed as a mod for that board: megaman9, Jumpyhead and rMan1024. As far as I know, R4ZOR and zeCookie and Cinereal have barely done any reviews, if any. Megaman9 and rMan1024, being mods, don't have major responsibility to judge levels as you said. One judge is going to review all those incoming levels, plus the ones we already have? Could everyone please stop ignoring me? the thing is that mega and ryan are actually level judges...

The problem is that it will end up being a lot of work for him if he ever decides to follow up with this, to check each tag and verify that the review is good, then moving them to each sub-forum individually. I check my tags every time I access these forums -.-

So really, we don't have that many level judges. Clearly not enough to judge everything that's coming in. I had megaman9 tagged in over 10 level reviews, and nothing happened for over a week. Only until I had tagged stardust1971 then the levels were moved.

Why do you hate me so much! I didn't do anything to you! megaman9 OFFICIALLY said I was a judge. This is the type of stuff that makes me not want to review levels. You know I was appointed, yet you treat me like my opinions don't matter Grrr IM AN "ACTUAL" JUDGE TOO

It's obvious that R4Z0R won't come here since it would cause a sh*tstorm of people who want to be a judge. But @stardust1971 is an admin...
