I think it's pretty well known that the different speeds in GD don't actually match their actual implied speeds. Who knew that a 4x speed boost doesn't go 4x as fast? Probably everyone lol I did a bit of research myself, since I was actually wondering how much I'd need to abuse slow speed boosts if I'm gonna make an addition to the "Travel" series myself. Also I couldn't find a thread on here and reddit users just used trial and error to find rough numbers out. (There's a table at the bottom of the post if you don't want to read my thought process) First - How much time it takes to finish a level.I did this with GD's ingame time detection system (Hitting pause and looking in the top left corner, as most creators will know about) I set the speed to 4x, put on some nice XI music, and waited for a bit, placing a block at the end of the level once I made it there. Then, setting the speeds to different starting values, I noted down every inch of time it took to finish a level. Second - Actual speed and relative speed.Using AbsoluteGamer's creator hack, I found out that the level length is 240000 "Units" each block being 30 "Units". This brings the level length to around 8000 blocks. Using a simple equation: (8000/[Level time in seconds]) I found out the actual speed of each... well... speed. Next, I compared this to the speed of the 1x speed, and notated down the actual speed, relative to the default 1x. And shazow, we have all the actual speeds of each speed modifier, along with how much time you can get out of a level. DATASpeed | Blocks/Second | Relative Speed | Max Level Length | Max Level Length (In seconds) | 0.5x | 8.36820083682 | 0.80648535564x | 15m 56s | 956 seconds | 1x | 10.3761348898 | 1x | 12m 51s | 771 seconds | 2x | 12.9032258065 | 1.2435483871x | 10m 20s | 620 seconds | 3x | 15.5945419103 | 1.5029239766x | 8m 33s | 513 seconds | 4x | 19.1846522782 | 1.8489208633x | 6m 57s | 417 seconds |
This does mean that the entirety of "At the speed of light" by Dimrain47 fits into a full level even if the whole level is at 4x speed. Do what you want with this information.

Wait was the editor length changed in 2.11? Because in 2.1 you could only go up to 8 minutes.

A year ago, I made this thread gdforum.freeforums.net/thread/35765/real-speed-cube-geometry-dashwhich showed the speeds from slow to 3x. I'm glad you decided test it out for 4x speed but the speeds would be more accurate if you use a longer level. I used levels that were 1 million blocks long to get these results: Slow: 8.372 B/s Normal: 10.386 B/s 2x: 12.914 B/s 3x: 15.6 B/s Maybe I'll do another test for 4x speed... :thunking:

Us Americans call it “math” not “maths” like the British do
Ot I didn’t really know the 3x Speed portal wasn’t really 3x Speed.

Wow, very precise! Awesome! Wait was the editor length changed in 2.11? Because in 2.1 you could only go up to 8 minutes. Yes. I'm surprised not many people know this.

However, I was more centered around presenting level limits in case anyone wants to make a standard level that is X length. That being said, are you cutting off digits? Because I don't know how you'd get a 3 digit decimal despite using a more accurate test.

I remember a video similar to this but they put the numbers in how fast the move trigger would have to move to stay vertically adjacent to you
