I think most people do. The only ones in favor of these laws being repealed are those who directly benefit from it, ISPs in particular.

who actually thinks removing net neutrality is a good idea? seriously, nobody wants it gone. Well, the big ISPs want it gone, and the big ISPs are the ones spending the most money so... when i was asking that question i was aiming it towards humans. not homunculi.

Honestly, this whole thing is a useless mess. The internet plays a huge role in the lives of many individuals nowadays, including ordinary citizens, schools, or a safe place; a place where people can escape from things. For something like the internet to be falling into corruption for monetary value, risking and throwing away a place for literally everything... it's extreme for something so substantial to happen, such a loss to all of society as a whole—all for money. Even to know the news, you have to pay. To visit sites you want to, to find something new to do, to explore, create and distribute; you have to pay. Money hungry bastards.

I’m sorry to be the one to say this, but greed like this has been happening since forever. It’s really sad, and really awful, but money is what split up the world in the first place.

Our Net Neutrality laws weren't even a thing until 2015 :/

Honestly this repeal just sounds like a way for big corporations to gain more money out of us. It’s really unfortunate that no matter how fair a law is, money takes over everything.

Man im really in the minority here... Net Neutrality is scam, designed to lock in the technological dominance of those who are supporting it (aka comcast if you haven't heard they are lobbying AGAINST this repeal :oooo) After it's gone all kinds of different ISP competition will be built across the US. Repealing NN will be good in the long run and shake things up in the short term

I mean, I know it might boost the economy of the US or something like that, but it will do more damage than good. Au contraire, it would make the economy struggle more, stifling small businesses that cannot afford to pay premiums to large ISPs for their website to be in a "fast lane".

Au contraire, it would make the economy struggle more, stifling small businesses that cannot afford to pay premiums to large ISPs for their website to be in a "fast lane". Also, people wouldn’t buy it in protest, too. And this could actually destroy the United States’ economy if you think about it. Most people have to use the internet for something, whether it be school research, college enrollments, advertisments, news websites, analysis of a person, and this would mean that nobody could access these websites well. That would cause many people to be fired or not get a job, making it so that there is more homeless people. We’d have another crisis on our hands, and its bad enough we have terrorists, let alone more homeless people.

ISPs have virtual monopolies over certain areas. Many people only have access to 1 or 2 different ISPs. There is no competition if consumers aren't given any choice. And this is probably by design. Even though they all SEEM like competitors, they rarely ever actually compete. If anything, they STIFLE competition by suing up and coming internet companies off the scene or just buy them out. Again, your argument could work if there was more choice, but in the US there is often no choice, and without choice there is no free market and there is no competition.

i dont live in the us but this is important for the future of the internet as we know it. for all you know, if america repeals these laws other countries might follow suit. america is a very powerful and influential nation and whether we like it or not, we need to make sure we are going in the right direction.
if i live in singapore which senator do i call
