I currently live in Korea, so I'm on this site when most of the members are sleeping. There's a lot more nastiness and spam in the middle of the day (night for America) for me than there are in the mornings or evenings. Maybe more mods in different timezones? Also, I feel that the level judging system can be split. For those who only want quick thoughts on their level, you could have a thread where they post levels and the judges would reply with "first impressions", "quick comments", etc. They wouldn't have to play the whole level, even if it degrades the quality of the judging. This way, more levels could be judged. Those who want the proper judging could continue tagging level judges as they've been doing. Is there anybody older who is willing to be a mod? As many members are still in school, there's a plethora of moody teenage randomness, myself included. I feel if there was somebody older who was willing (and actually had the time) to keep an eye on the forums, they should be moved to a higher administrative position immediately. They wouldn't need to do much of the mods work, but they would handle the more serious problems and help preserve the integrity and professionalism (XD) of this site. Is there a way for ProBoards to show who is online and who is not, especially the mods, outside of the profile? Or maybe instead of an online status, is there a way for the mods to show "most recent activity" on their signature or something? I say this because some keep a tab open on these forums, like me, and if a mod did that, it would be pretty confusing who to ask. Last activity would be a better approach to this. Can we put the important threads outside of general discussion (such as the rules) with them locked, and have any questions or disputes about them in the General Discussion? Speaking of, I feel that General Discussion has to be broken up a bit more. The mods control what goes in and out, I'm assuming, which is okay but leaves General Discussion a bit cluttered and difficult to navigate. I am aware that there is the Other GD Stuff, but I feel that it's more appropriate to make more subheadings, within General Discussion. For example, Azazal and Xtrullor business could go in a "Music and its Creators" subheading. Just a few ideas I have; feel free to ignore them all. TL;DR: Mods in different timezones, split up level judging and General Discussion, last activity instead of online status, older administration, and important threads outside of General Discussion I love this opinion! Best one of seen in this thread!

I agree about mods in different time zones. I live in EST and I rarely see more then 2 staff/mods on at a time. Sure, I see like 14 a day, but none in korean time or halfway across the world.

I believe that you don't need to be old to be mature, and the staff aren't that young anyways- if i recall correctly, there are some that are in the final years of high school and at least one that is in post-secondary education. Age doesn't determine the activeness of a member nor their capability of moderating a forum, and I don't understand how being older would be able to preserve the integrity and professionalism of this site- having an older mod won't stop members from spamming. Can you elaborate more on that? Is there a way for ProBoards to show who is online and who is not, especially the mods, outside of the profile? Or maybe instead of an online status, is there a way for the mods to show "most recent activity" on their signature or something? I say this because some keep a tab open on these forums, like me, and if a mod did that, it would be pretty confusing who to ask. Last activity would be a better approach to this. On the homepage, as well as at the very bottom of any board is a table displaying the members (and staff) that are currently online. You can check recent activity by going into someone Profile and clicking the Activity tab or "Click to see this member's recent posts/threads." Can we put the important threads outside of general discussion (such as the rules) with them locked, and have any questions or disputes about them in the General Discussion? Speaking of, I feel that General Discussion has to be broken up a bit more. I am aware that there is the Other GD Stuff, but I feel that it's more appropriate to make more subheadings, within General Discussion. For example, Azazal and Xtrullor business could go in a "Music and its Creators" subheading. I think the main reason we haven't created sub-boards in General Discussion is because there simply isn't that much news coming through each category- the Xtrullor business exploded for a couple days, but now there are barely any threads left around. I suppose if something became very constant we might consider it, but normally most of the categorized news will fall into the Community News subboard, not General Discussion.

I suppose if something became very constant we might consider it, but normally most of the categorized news will fall into the Community News subboard, not General Discussion. I meant in no way to say that the mods were immature. Sorry if it felt that way :3 In a game I played in the past, there was a fanmade forums. However, they got into some legal business with the studio who created the game, because although the studio approved the forums at first, it started becoming cancer and there was a lot of copyright things that weren't credited. The forums eventually got shut down and the studio prevented anymore from being made. Now, I know Robtop endorses these forums, but if this game/forum got into any legal trouble, I'm sure an adult would be better than a senior in high school to represent us. If somebody wanted to contact the forums about anything, they wouldn't be talking to a teenage kid; hence, the "professionalism". I didn't know that some mods were in post-education, so it's good I suppose. I should have elaborated on this more; sorry for the confusion. For the last activity, I was wondering if I could see that without going into somebody's profile. I'm assuming you can't, but the members online being at the bottom is new to me. I'll have to check it out. I understand your feelings on the General Discussion sub-boards, but I think that even if something is inactive, there should still be a subboard there. I think this because 1: If somebody wants to find a specific link from a thread (say, the link to donate to Azazal) or a certain opinion to quote from, but the thread has gotten pushed down, it's pretty inconvenient to find (even with the search button, as thread titles are sometimes very random), 2: It will let the explosions of a subject stay contained within a sub-board (so that General Discussion is not cluttered with all of the same subject), and 3: Members could post in these sub-boards (is that how posting works, posting within a sub-board or board? I've never created a thread of my own), and make finding those interested in the same topic easier . You could even do a combination of the two: have a few important threads and a few new threads outside a sub-board and have sub-boards for everything else. This will let new threads gain more attention. Even if something is not updated constantly, I feel it should still be categorized if not for the sake of archiving it easier. Thanks for reading all of my initial opinions, and for replying

I didn't know that some mods were in post-education, so it's good I suppose. I should have elaborated on this more; sorry for the confusion. I actually agree with your thoughts on legal matters actually, I don't think most of the staff (myself included) have enough experience to properly discuss important issues in case anything ever came up. That's why we try to stay as far away from any copyright or legal troubles at all, hence the removed Kappa emojis. However, I'm not sure if said adult would need to be a moderator to help us defend a position or handle these sorts of things; they don't need any of the normal perms associated with moderation (moving/locking threads, dealing with reported posts, etc.) and could probably just be a normal member with a reputation on the forums. For the last activity, I was wondering if I could see that without going into somebody's profile. I'm assuming you can't, but the members online being at the bottom is new to me. Thanks for reading all of my initial opinions, and for replying Yeah, I think the Profile is the only way (unless you see them on the most recent thread update on the side). You can't post in a (sub-)board, you create threads in there and post in those threads. Most of the important threads will be stickied at the top of General Discussion for convenience and attention, although we won't necessarily sticky the "hot" threads because the activity in them will push them to the top anyways. I've suggested the sub-board idea to the staff anyways, I guess we'll see. Thank you for giving us such detailed suggestions!

Make a timetable of which staff are to be online at which time so there is always 1 or 2 staff online (of course there will be exceptions). Often I see there is no staff online. There should nearly always be staff online in my opinion

Bring up that new forum idea, that you had a while ago, so we can finally fix the things that proboards is missing

Bring up that new forum idea, that you had a while ago, so we can finally fix the things that proboards is missing that would take a lot to move the forums. We would lose a large part of our community if we moved to another site that needs paying membership. this is fine for now but I do agree that it can improve. Maybe send an update changelog to proboards with our new ideas. many things are impossible with proboards but if we send a petition, maybe change will come.
