A major point to me is that I don't know if anyone in EST is actually on at any time given. I live in EST and I noticed the same thing. So I notified Will and he said lots of staff live in EST. He found that weird.

I was on at like 6:00PM EST and no one was actually on that was a staff. Where was I? in a serious discussion and I found a lot of immature jokes being made and they weren't warned. They weren't even reported! I also think we should as a whole act more mature. Sure, I broke the necroposting rule when I first joined, but I see people that joined over a week ago breaking more severe rules. That shows immaturity, and the forums are run on maturity and responsibility. Also, Will, I like to write on things like this. My teachers say I kinda write too much.

Because of the staff invisibility, some of us might be online and it wouldn't show up in the Online box. The only way you can tell is if any of them posted in a thread recently. :/ You can always report the post and/or tag some of the staff who should be online at the time or are active and we should be able to address the issue fairly quickly. I'll try to be around more often when I can- you can usually find me pretty quickly during school hours, since I have my laptop on most of the time and the forums open in a tab. I find I sometimes write a lot too, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Huh, this thread is pretty huge but I hope my suggestion(s) is/are original I would like to request a News Helper rank, its use may not be obvious at first but me, Delta and Arko are planning a large reshuffling of the News team which is beginning now In my opinion there should be more ways for members to get involved, but I see that we are already making steps towards this Finally, hello everyone, how have you all been, I've missed you

I find I sometimes write a lot too, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is the reason why staff shouldn't have their status invisible. when people want to tag mods, it is really annoying to not know who is online. i can remember from when i wasnt staff, the staff i would tag were the ones i saw online. hiding you status honestly makes no sense. And also change the staff. Most of them are just known players that are very inactive, and some of them I'm not sure if they even have an account here Looking through the staff list, which admittedly is not huge, the only ones this description fits are Viprin and RobTop. People like mgostIH and serponge are staff yes, but they do their job well. Also, not sure if I misunderstood you, but the last part confuses me. How can someone that doesn't have an account here be staff on this forum in first place? To be honest I think the current staff choices are fine, some mods could be promoted to admin tbh, but Will only recently has and Delta became mod. So I don't see much we could/should change here. there are some mods that are extremely inactive though. carbonara and peridot come to mind

Alright. My online status is no longer "invisible". Now it won't say I was last online June 2015, lul. I hope this helps you guys out :)

Thanks Lumpy! But I think we need to act better as a whole. People are complaining that staff are too serious and then when they make ONE joke, they flip out saying that the staff are being too silly. Can we actually let them make jokes in the less serious threads? Seeing at how people are acting, no, we cannot. But then why are the same people accusing the staff making silly, unrelated jokes EVERYWHERE? I think that the forum needs overall maturity to thrive. Other forum communities don't have to live with this much immaturity, at least I don't think. I am not targeting specific staff/members, but we need to up are maturity levels by a lot. Rant like suggestion 2 done.

Be more fun to be around. All mods are very serious, and it just makes me not have as much fun when I am talking to them

Be more fun to be around. All mods are very serious, and it just makes me not have as much fun when I am talking to them but people complain when the mods are being fun and having a joke or two. I agree that sometimes they are serious, but people get critical if they do either, be serious for a little while and then fun. They just complain "oh the staff is being immature like oh my gosh" and other stuff like that. Opposite for when they are being serious, "oh the staff are basically talking robots be more silly like oh my gosh" and other stuff like that.

I currently live in Korea, so I'm on this site when most of the members are sleeping. There's a lot more nastiness and spam in the middle of the day (night for America) for me than there are in the mornings or evenings. Maybe more mods in different timezones?
Also, I feel that the level judging system can be split. For those who only want quick thoughts on their level, you could have a thread where they post levels and the judges would reply with "first impressions", "quick comments", etc. They wouldn't have to play the whole level, even if it degrades the quality of the judging. This way, more levels could be judged. Those who want the proper judging could continue tagging level judges as they've been doing.
Is there anybody older who is willing to be a mod? As many members are still in school, there's a plethora of moody teenage randomness, myself included. I feel if there was somebody older who was willing (and actually had the time) to keep an eye on the forums, they should be moved to a higher administrative position immediately. They wouldn't need to do much of the mods work, but they would handle the more serious problems and help preserve the integrity and professionalism (XD) of this site.
Is there a way for ProBoards to show who is online and who is not, especially the mods, outside of the profile? Or maybe instead of an online status, is there a way for the mods to show "most recent activity" on their signature or something? I say this because some keep a tab open on these forums, like me, and if a mod did that, it would be pretty confusing who to ask. Last activity would be a better approach to this.
Can we put the important threads outside of general discussion (such as the rules) with them locked, and have any questions or disputes about them in the General Discussion? Speaking of, I feel that General Discussion has to be broken up a bit more. The mods control what goes in and out, I'm assuming, which is okay but leaves General Discussion a bit cluttered and difficult to navigate. I am aware that there is the Other GD Stuff, but I feel that it's more appropriate to make more subheadings, within General Discussion. For example, Azazal and Xtrullor business could go in a "Music and its Creators" subheading.
Just a few ideas I have; feel free to ignore them all.
TL;DR: Mods in different timezones, split up level judging and General Discussion, last activity instead of online status, older administration, and important threads outside of General Discussion
