but actually, playing a demon without practicing makes you and your reflexes better twice as fast as practicing the level ah yes, instead of practicing the level and actually knowing what to do, torture yourself into beating the level with an excessive amount of attempts just to make your reaction time half a millisecond quicker

Okay seriously now, how can you play/watch this without having an headache and with actually knowing where to go? Its impossible, and dont tell me that this is a bad usage of 2.2, because most levels in 2.2 will be like this. youtu.be/mrl67mlxuAo

Obviously some practice mode is required, but that because the difficulty of the level is insane/demon. Not really because of "abuse" of the 2.2 mechanics. Ive seen far worse in both 2.0 and 2.1, so I don't think it's that big of a deal. It seems like a really creative level and I'd want to play it.

If you can take an argument and replace/remove a few words and it then supports the other side, than it is not a good argument. Take, for example, your argument: Its been a while since my last thread lol, anyways im here to rant about 2.2 (i made the exact same thread about 2.1 11 months ago). The thing is that, geometry dash will not be the same after this update, lemme explain:
Camera controls are super bad, they change gd's mechanics too much, i dont like them, also, they could be used to add difficulty to a demon (if you try to straight fly having your game super small is 10x harder than str8 flying normally). So in my opinion they are bad and cancerous, also, i already had an headache watching at 2.2 videos on yt.
Reversed orbs: you cant understand when an orb/pad will flip you or not, and this will be pretty cancerous in levels, i mean, in 4 star levels you actually see where you are going, but easy demons and more difficult ones will be aids to play because you will require at least 2 practice runs if not more.
Random trigger: i actually dont know if this will be implemented in 2.2 or it was just a *RANDOM* idea, but it is as aids as reversed gameplay, if not more.
I am not following the gd scene too much, so i am obviously missing something, but the point is, that gd will be different (in a bad way) after this update, i want the old gd.
If I change a few words, I get: Its been a while since my last thread lol, anyways im here to rant about 2.2 (i made the exact same thread about 2.1 11 months ago). The thing is that, geometry dash will not be the same after this update, lemme explain:

Its been a while since my last thread lol, anyways im here to rant about 2.2 (i made the exact same thread about 2.1 11 months ago). I wasn't here during that time, so if you don't mind, can you link me to that thread? Because I'm fairly sure you have also gotten backlash on that thread as well, considering they're the same thread. The thing is that, geometry dash will not be the same after this update, Well, duh. When has Geometry Dash ever been the same after an update? An update is supposed to add new features to the game and change it up a little bit. Take, for example, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It was a very different addition to the franchise, and it completely changed the Star Wars plotline and general "ambience". But it was for the better, wasn't it? Episode VII is easily my favorite, even though it changed the storyline to the point where it wasn't exactly Star Wars anymore. I'd talk about it, but, y'know. Basically, what I'm saying is, yes, Geometry Dash will obviously change, but you're making very hasty and unjustified accusations that it will be a shitty update. Why don't you wait to find out if it will suck or not before complaining about it? lemme explain: Camera controls are super bad, they change gd's mechanics too much, Look, I actually agree with you here, I think the camera controls will be difficult to get used to and they're very "different" from the central mechanics of the game, but so were the Quests, Gauntlets, Daily Chests, and Daily/Weekly Levels, and I ended up enjoying them. So yeah, I have preaccusations as well, I'll own up to that, but I am willing to give 2.2 a chance to impress me, because 2.1 sure did, and that's the part where I can not agree with you. You are making preaccusations, which is fine in most cases, but the problem is that you're going as far to say the entire update will be batshit. That's called "early judgement", and that's what you're doing to the entire update. I think I might have contradicted myself at least once in this paragraph, as it's late and I'm very tired at the moment. i dont like them, orly also, they could be used to add difficulty to a demon (if you try to straight fly having your game super small is 10x harder than str8 flying normally). Oh no! Adding difficulty to a demon is the worst thing since Joseph Stalin. So in my opinion Knowing you, you're not one to tolerate other's opinions... they are bad and cancerous, also, i already had an headache watching at 2.2 videos on yt. Then stop watching them, simple as that, hide them in your Recommended tab. Let other people enjoy the update.Reversed orbs: you cant understand when an orb/pad will flip you or not, Creators will probably add some sort of indication for it. In AlterGame XVIII (I think, I'm referring to the Rush II AlterGame), there is, in fact, indication on what direction the speed boosts will take you. this will be pretty cancerous in levels, i mean, in 4 star levels you actually see where you are going, Doubt it, to be honest. There will certainly be 4-star levels that use reverse direction orbs, but probably will be kept exclusive toward video game levels. but easy demons and more difficult ones will be aids to play because you will require at least 2 practice runs if not more. Gasp! laying a demon in Practice Mode is the worst thing since adding difficulty to a demon!Random trigger: i actually dont know if this will be implemented in 2.2 or it was just a *RANDOM* idea, gay pun but it is as aids as reversed gameplay, if not more. I think it's next to impossible that RobTop will permit randomized gameplay in some conditions. But in others, I can actually get behind it. If you've ever seen Dashy Square, you'd know about the Wave/Endless levels, which have randomized gameplay. Onslaught-themed gameplay could work for a level, maybe even a non-video game level.I am not following the gd scene too much, Well, you decided to make a thread about how shitty 2.2 will objectively be, so you can't be too closed off. so i am obviously missing something, but the point is, that gd will The word "will" seems more like an opinion meant to be seen as fact/psychic prediction rather than a preaccusation. be different (in a bad way) There's that early judgement again. after this update, i want the old gd. Here's an idea, join the 1.9 GDPS and quit new GD. You have to accept the fact that it will change and improve farther. If it stays the same for a while, people will get bored of it. That's nearly what happened in 2.0. That's also why I don't like 1.9 elitists (like you, apparently): they constantly whine also about how amazing the past was and how they can't accept the present. You have to let go.Gee, I wonder what format the replies are in.

I can't believe RobTop is adding more elements to his game so that creators can be more creative with levels they create, what are we going to do ://////////////

You have to let go.Gee, I wonder what format the replies are in. gdforum.freeforums.net/thread/41234/download-2-1This was the thread about 2.1, also, i see that you basically misunderstood every point that i made. First, when i said: "geometry dash will not be the same after this update" COME ON! its obvious that it won't be the same! You just didnt get the point. Geometry Dash changes every update, but this one especially changes the basics of geometry dash, for example, what would happen if in football instead of scoreing more goals than the opponent, all of a sudden you need to score less goals to win? I know its a stupid example but this would change all the mechanics! About the fact that i am making invalid points, or that i am judging an update before having it in my hands, that is wrong too because we already have subzero, and i already have an idea of 2.2, and dont tell me that it will change drastically from now. About the fact "adding difficulty to a demon", my bad, i didnt want to say it this way, and i realize it is kind of a bullshit concept now that i think about it, but doesnt matter. About the flipped orbs, i meant that they wont be a problem in easy levels because you see where you will go later, but demons will become memory demons, and you will have to memorize every single part. Where is the fun in that? I honestly hate memory demons, and i dont think everyone will be happy to COMPLETELY MEMORIZE a demon instead of doing 2 practice runs. Sorry for the gay pun :/ I hope this clears any doubt or incomprehension Sorry 4 bad english

I have a feeling something like what happened in early 2.0 is going to happen in 2.2. (Remember when move triggers were being abused?) After a while, people will find better, less annoying ways to use the new features, hopefully.

Gee, I wonder what format the replies are in. gdforum.freeforums.net/thread/41234/download-2-1This was the thread about 2.1, also, i see that you basically misunderstood every point that i made. Wow I love how you're making ANOTHER early assumption that I'm misunderstanding all of your points when I'm actually getting them perfectly. You think the update content will be used poorly. That's all there really is to understand. What I'm saying is that you have to give it a chance.First, when i said: "geometry dash will not be the same after this update" COME ON! its obvious that it won't be the same! I didn't say it would be the same. Ever. You just didnt get the point. Geometry Dash changes every update, but this one especially changes the basics of geometry dash, BASICS. The basics are: "You click the mouse/spacebar/up arrow/tap the screen to jump, fly, or change gravity." Those are the basics. These will be advancements that improve the game, so of course they'll be hard to get used to, but we all got used to the red/black orbs and spider gamemode quickly, didn't we? for example, what would happen if in football instead of scor eing Spelling error lmao more goals than the opponent, all of a sudden you need to score less goals to win? There's a difference between making a change that improves the game and making a change that makes the game just dumb. Football is a bad example, because it's kinda set in stone at this point. A video game like Geometry Dash can always change, for the better or for the worse. But you need to give it a chance before just assuming it will be awful. I know its a stupid example but this would change all the mechanics! But the updates haven't necessarily changed the mechanics at all in GD. It's still "do this to jump". In the football example, you're changing the objective completely while in GD, you're adding new things. There's a huge difference.About the fact that i am making invalid points, You are. or that i am judging an update before having it in my hands, Well, it's not really in ANYONE's hands at the moment. that is wrong too because we already have subzero, That's RobTop's way of using 2.2. Creators like Serponge and Pipenashho will almost certainly use it much differently. and i already have an idea of 2.2, So that counters the fact that you have 2.2 in yours hands. You only have an idea. and dont tell me that it will change drastically from now. WHAT? THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO TELL ME, THAT IT WILL CHANGE DRASTICALLY, AND YOU'RE NOW AGAINST IT? ARE YOU GETTING BLACKMAILED TO SAY THIS SHIT OR SOMETHING?About the fact "adding difficulty to a demon", my bad, i didnt want to say it this way, and i realize it is kind of a bullshit concept now that i think about it, but doesnt matter. Well it actually does matter but alright, points for remorse.About the flipped orbs, i meant that they wont be a problem in easy levels because you see where you will go later, What the fuck does this even mean? but demons will become memory demons, and you will have to memorize every single part. Where is the fun in that? I honestly hate memory demons, and i dont think everyone will be happy to COMPLETELY MEMORIZE a demon instead of doing 2 practice runs. You memorize a demon BY doing practice runs. Also oh nooooo more practice runs on memory demons will ruin the game completely!Sorry for the gay pun :/ ewI hope this clears any doubt or incomprehension Nope.Sorry 4 bad english 5Replies in bay gold.
