I was searching through random Newgrounds songs for a new level, ended up finding one that had good music, but the artist is more unpopular and hasn't been RobTop approved So does that mean I can really just never use this song? Or is there some way to request the artist be looked into as a legitimate music creator? The artist's name is EntityX and he has so far posted 15 audio tracks The song I was trying to use is called Neptune ( www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/748007 ) So yea, will this song never be available to use? Is there some way to bring it attention to be approved (such as this thread Kappa)? Or if I really want to use it, I just need to hope that RobTop will randomly find the artist in his free time and just decide to make his music available? Or do I just Endlevel and get the song in through a weird ID I changed in my computer's user settings? :v |

honestly this system hasn't helped anyone, to my knowledge. it's a good idea on paper and i appreciate that rob at least tried to change the stolen song situation but for fucks sake. pretty sure liaquo STILL hasn't been approved

Also this system is fine. You have plenty of songs to use still. Could rob be quicker to approve artists? Sure. But this system basically HAD to happen. Remember that us using songs on NG is a privilege, not a right. You aren't entitled to use whatever you want. |

You aren't entitled to use whatever you want. 1.) liaquo made crystal corruption 2.) the system's a good idea on paper, and could definitely work. unfortunately, we all know how slow rob is. and that's the problem. |

Also, Rob could just be waiting until the level releases so people don't try to use it. |

Robtop seems waaay too busy on GD to approve NG artists.
If that was the case, he could ask the NG staff to approve real artists for him, that way it's kind of a win/win situation.
But hey, let's not create more NG drama.

He did approve a guy called UndeadHacker. I still have 2 of his songs downloaded on my game, but sadly it turned out he was stealing the songs from people on Spotify or something. It's a shame really because the songs were really good.

sure there are really good artist that aren't approved but you still have at least 10,000 good songs that would work in a gd level. it's not that hard to actually find a good song on newgrounds, but people are lazy and just use popular artists songs. it'd be nice to actually have an original song that i've never heard of in a featured level for once.

sure there are really good artist that aren't approved but you still have at least 10,000 good songs that would work in a gd level. it's not that hard to actually find a good song on newgrounds, but people are lazy and just use popular artists songs. it'd be nice to actually have an original song that i've never heard of in a featured level for once. That's the main problem here tho, I enjoy searching through all Newgrounds for unique / good tracks, but when I actually find an original one I can't even use it  I feel as if I'll just end up using the song as ID 1 and just tell people playing the level that they gotta switch the song like in some of Endlevel's Bo Burnham songs and such |
