Idk about the option to disable use in GD, it'll suck if one of your WIP level's song get disabled.. Will you make it so that already uploaded (or used) songs can't be disabled for GD anymore  |

This is a good solution but what impact will it have on already uploaded levels using songs with artists that are not active on NG (and not really well known?) And if a new artist signs up and wants to spread his music to gd, but he isn't well known, what solution will you have for that? This is too much like the featuring system in GD, unknown artists will be impossible to discover.
But I completely understand why you had to implement this system, can't satisfy everyone I guess.

On topic: This is a pretty harsh hit, but extreme problems require extreme solutions. I guess my feelings towards the side of GD who made this happen right now are similar: assume all are causers of problems until you are sure they are not. |

The onnly thing I am worried about is the thing that happened with Xtrullor. It was serious at the time, but now it seems like the issue will resurface...

So lets say you are a new artist and want to make some good music specifically for geometry dash levels... is there no way to upload your music and then request permission from you to be able to use it (after you check its not stolen) Shame... I think this could discourage new artists who would want to make real music to be used in geometry dash without such a system... At least it will solve the issue of song theft... Hope some improvements to this system (like having a request list for individual songs) comes soon Pretty sure newgrounds is a place for artists to upload songs to get actually known, not a place to put songs just for GD. But uploading songs just for GD has will still be reasonable songs on newgrounds... music is music  no matter of its purpose. in some ways uploading music just for GD can be good as long as its well made music... but of course theres no chance it will happen now, if new artists aren't allowed... I did want to try to make some music a while ago to see if i could make a good GD level with it... i don't think i ever will now if its only rare slow acceptances robtop will make  Just saying, surely there is a better solution for this... One that doesn't discourage people from making new songs, and can let robtop be lazy about manual verification stuffs |

I love this idea, but Rob, you have WAY too much stuff to do on your own. Rating levels, choosing daily levels, making updates, and now verifying new artists... I'm surprised you're fine doing all of this by yourself.. aren't daily levels random featured levels? Making updates i guess is hard work tho... Thing is, if you havent noticed, he is being really slow not just at rating levels (and now verifying new artists) but also updates too! We didn't even get a completed version of 2.1 after a year because robtop is working so slowly.... There really should be some way to speed up rating levels / verifying new artists even if it means getting some of his real friends to help out... I kind of want to see 2.1 fixed and finished quickly... but i don't think its going to happen anytime soon... I really hope robtop finds a new way for this verifying artists thing... just so he can spend more time doing other things |

RobTopGames So what if an artist already has songs uploaded, but they've never been used in GD? Will those songs be unavailable? All current songs from scouted artists will be available. |

Great news, the recent Newgrounds change made Xtrullor decide to allow ALL his songs on Newgrounds for GD again!
