This thread I made because I noticed many people who struggle with creating (Flux Kappa) Whether it is about what to use for decoration and what not to use, how to continue creating even when you're out of ideas... basically tips for everything editor/creating related.
Post below if you encounter any problems/dilemmas when creating a level and I or another person will try to help! Any good examples of tips will be added below ^_^
Here's are examples: Q: I like only one part of the song I am using, and the rest is kind of a bore to build, what do I do? A: Make it a collab with someone else!
Q: How do people make levels so fast? I've been working on a level for a week, and it's only short ;-; A: They rush it and get worse results. Don't.
Q: What does the 'group ID' tab do and how is it useful? A: The Group ID tag lets you place things in different layers, but it won't affect gameplay or actual look at all. It is useful because you don't want a ton of things all on one layer to make it complicated.
Q: How do people make the limbo/sunset style levels? A: You basically set obj to black for the whole level, and make everything you want black except for the background.
--RyanAB's Answers-- Q: How do avoid my levels starting out great but having a sloppy ending? It happens even if I try. A: That usually happens because you get bored of creating. Stop, take a break, and get back to it once you feel creative
Q: Is it okay to steal other people's ideas for decoration/layout? If not, how do you come up with good deco/layout combinations? A: Stealing other's designs without giving proper credit is in my eyes, bad. To come up with an original design, come up with good colors and see what looks good with those color combinations
Ask away!

Q: Do you think it is better to nitpick over the details while you construct each individual part of the level, or just start placing blocks and making basic designs, to then modify and perfect later on? I think the former helps me make a better level but the latter is much quicker.

The Group ID tag lets you place things in different layers, but it won't affect gameplay or actual look at all. It is useful because you don't want a shi t ton of things all on one layer to make it complicated. Those 'limbo' style levels are actually sunset levels. You basically set obj to black for the whole level, and make everything you want black except for the background.

Q: Is there any way to effectively use the first block on the first tab? Y'know, the one first levels are usually full of.

Q: Is there any way to effectively use the first block on the first tab? Y'know, the one first levels are usually full of. If you're talking about the one spammed in cycles, then look at woogi levels he knows how to use them. They make good blocks to put in corners for other blocks or as the tip for a block. For example since I'm bad at explaining; a block with two walls on each side (looks sort of like this = ) horizontally can be connected to a vertical one with a basic block to fill in the corner space.
