*Okay, so I'm NOT trying to offend the moderators, but I think this forum has 'eh' moderation, and I'm not trying to force suggestions on anyone.*
EDIT: This might belong in Community Suggestions. Not sure! 1) Make sure warns or bans fit appropriately with the level of improper action. I'm just saying: It's not fair to ban a user for spamming four times. It should only be a 20% warning at least. (5% warn * 4) If a user does something multiple times that does not warrant a ban, then why ban them? This is just an insult to the user and it's not fair. If a user gets warned minimally twice for racism/harassment, it should be a 60% warn. Not a ban. A ban should only be applicable if the action adds up to 100% on the warning meter or is bad enough to warrant a ban.
2) If you're going to ban/warn, don't hesitate. There is NOTHING more offensive to a user than getting banned/warned for something they did days or months or even YEARS prior. The user will feel harassed and cheated, and could spread bad news about the forum to others who are interested, potentially blocking possible traffic. I've seen this happen on other sites, and it's terrible. So PLEASE apply a warn/ban when it's needed ASAP. Not months AFTER it's justified.
3) Delete/lock posts that need deleting. Don't just lock one of a group of posts. If there's a group of posts related to the same topic that don't belong in a certain sub-forum, do NOT delete/lock one post and leave the rest active - it's like getting warned for something when others did it with you and got off unpunished. This just really insults the user. Please lock all major threads in a group instead of singling one out.
4) Don't spam common memes or unprofessional things. This makes you guys seem unprofessional and users will stomp all over you thinking you're a joke, which is not good. Be civil.
5) Be nice, helpful, informative and active. If users trust a moderator and take them seriously on a forum, there's gonna be less trashposting and more civil discussions. Don't be afraid to keep it civil by distributing some warnings or deletions. Be sure to help users who need help if you're a Moderator/Administator and be informative on why a level gets a rating if you're a Level Judge. Keeping a forum civil is a good way to reduce the 'negative vibes'.
6) Be open to user suggestions to improve anything, and talk out an update before applying it. This is why Forum and Community Suggestions exist. Don't shun an update someone proposes; talk it out and find ways to improve it. If they have other good ideas and people shun them, it might discourage them from sharing their ideas in fear of being shunned again. Also, SPEAK WITH THE COMMUNITY! I've heard of plenty of businesses who make a change without the community's speak and screw up something major. (i.e. revenue loss/reputation) The community is the most important part of an update. Don't be afraid to take the community's suggestions on an update to improve the forum. Make a prototype of an update, share it with the community, get their feedback, and keep improving it!

i have a 60% warning because i spammed a single thread, nothing else
and even worse, i was never notified of getting a warning (i have photo evidence in another thread)

I'm pretty sure notifications for warnings go in the messages box, not the profile, but I have no personal experience with that sort of thing.

They actually also go to the Profile notifications, a notification that says "Your warning percentage has been changed to X%" should've appeared.

So, what's the point of this? Do you think the staff are doing all of these things wrong?

So, what's the point of this? Do you think the staff are doing all of these things wrong? I'm guessing, but things like 4 and 6 need to happen more often.

I guess these are good ideas, but we really need heavier moderation of the lounge (like I said, make people who are responsible that are common to find in the lounge lounge mods, that can lock shitpost threads ;3;)

1) Make sure warns or bans fit appropriately with the level of improper action. I'm just saying: It's not fair to ban a user for spamming four times. It's completely fair. If they spammed once and got warned then they should know not to do it again. Maybe not a permaban but ban them for at least a week or so. It should only be a 20% warning at least. (5% warn * 4) It should be at least 40% imo (10% * 4) If a user does something multiple times that does not warrant a ban, then why ban them? This is just an insult to the user and it's not fair. I already explained this. If a user gets warned minimally twice for racism/harassment, it should be a 60% warn. Not a ban. I'd warn them and ban them for a day or two. A ban should only be applicable if the action adds up to 100% on the warning meter or is bad enough to warrant a ban. idk man spamming and necroposting multiple times seems to warrant a ban to me
2) If you're going to ban/warn, don't hesitate. There is NOTHING more offensive to a user than getting banned/warned for something they did days or months or even YEARS prior. When's the last time one of us staff has done this? The user will feel harassed and cheated, and could spread bad news about the forum to others who are interested, potentially blocking possible traffic. I've seen this happen on other sites, and it's terrible. So PLEASE apply a warn/ban when it's needed ASAP. Not months AFTER it's justified. "Other sites?" Yeah, probably. But as far as I know, none of us have ever done that, so why are you trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist?
3) Delete/lock posts that need deleting. Don't just lock one of a group of posts. If there's a group of posts related to the same topic that don't belong in a certain sub-forum, do NOT delete/lock one post and leave the rest active - it's like getting warned for something when others did it with you and got off unpunished. This just really insults the user. Please lock all major threads in a group instead of singling one out. That's not insulting, and it's completely justified. If the user makes an irrelevant post, it will be deleted.
4) Don't spam common memes or unprofessional things. This makes you guys seem unprofessional and users will stomp all over you thinking you're a joke, which is not good. Be civil. I agree with this, but us mods should also be allowed to joke around at least a little bit.
This falls more on the Admins, but I do agree that they should take more suggestions, ESPECIALLY about this new forum.

I think the mods are doing a pretty good job (the active ones, the inactives should be demoted asap imo) it is the owners that present a problem. Neither of them are active enough to be good owners, and they aren't very open to suggestions. I have seen R4Z0R come on and say negative things about the forum, community, etc. that made me wonder a few things. Also what I heard about him wanting to replace all the judges with famous people (ridiculous idea) in the new forum. Overall, I think that there should be more co-owners because with the current ones the site won't go very far. Just my opinion, don't hate.

Read the whole level judges skype chat until the reach the part where r4z0r was on Can I get some keywords to make searching easier? Edit: couldnt find when he was on but I did see when megaman first told us this. I swear, he better have good reasons to kick someone out. I think that he should put us through multiple tests to see if we are worthy. I think that's a lot more fair.

I swear, he better have good reasons to kick someone out. I think that he should put us through multiple tests to see if we are worthy. I think that's a lot more fair. quote from lumpy : and he says the reason he wants to get rid of most of the current judges is because they don’t have enough creating experience to have accurate judgement and that their reviews aren’t good enough (not sure exactly how, but I think he wants more detailed and precise judgers who will be honest yet supportive) quote from megaman: So [IG][GP] MegaMan Michigun jokingly said that he operates in the shadows From: [IG][GP] MegaMan Then he said that we can demote him if we want From: [IG][GP] MegaMan Then Razor said this From: [IG][GP] MegaMan RazzySharp - Today 7:53 AM > Michi can remain in the shadows, I don't really mind RazzySharp - Today 7:54 AM > ppl just complain about inactive staff and im just saying "they're not hurting anyone quote from r4z0r: [IG][GP] MegaMan - Today 2:24 PM > Who do you think should be a judge maybe most of top 100 creators Some highlights from the skype chat.
