Those rocks sticking out the real blocks aren't corner pieces. They're deco (dunno the real name). Corner pieces are those small lines

I know this is a late reply, but this promotional picture is only supposed to show off some new block types and icons, to give you a general idea of the content within the update.

RobTop usually starts off with some new block types, followed by a teaser that showcases something new in the game, then the song hint ( which probably won't be showcased this time around, since the new 2.1 song will be custom made for the game), and then the sneak peek.

This trend usually differs depending on the update, though.
