Going to use my brand-new system, using my top-secret formula (seriously)! Design - (1.5/2.5) (just to let you know, I only put one decimal here, in the formula I consider all decimal points, in this case 1.4875)It's exactly what it says on the tin, really. It's been brought up to date with new blocks and some new colours. Thankfully you have the old Back on Track as a "design base", which had no issues as a base, so that already helped boost the design score. That being said, the blocks used aren't anything special and the colour combinations in some areas are a bit weird. Pink and bright blue... no thanks. At least they vary (if in some cases to other weird combinations). Decoration - (1.1/2) Continuing the theme, some new 2.0 decorations have been added to the level. There's a reasonable level of it, however some might say that there are some considerable bare gaps remaining. That being said though, the decoration isn't to the highest of standards with just some white clouds and rainbows dominating and that being pretty much it. Still, it's better than it was! Gameplay - (3.6/4.5)It's a bit cruel considering this section as it is almost 100% determined by the original, however I wouldn't be ashamed of this score if I were you. Back on Track had just the one change to a ship and back and that was it, which nowadays isn't much vehicle variation and takes a big chunk out of the score. Sorry, that's my formula, and the same would have happened if I were to review "Back on Track" now (which would almost certainly have a dismal score). Music Syncing - (1/1)It's Back on Track, 'nuff said Creativity multiplier - (x0.85) (for those who are wondering, this affects the overall score. Minimum x0.75, maximum x1.25, x0 for copies)It's below 1 for a clear and simple reason, it is "Back on Track". This isn't a pure copy, in which case I would have to give it a 0. That being said though, this idea has been done by many, myself included. Many people planned this well before 2.0 came out, myself included (I stopped on BoT after I realised how many people were doing it). That's why this has to make do with a rather low multiplier. "Niggles and wows" multiplier - (x0.975) (affects overall score. This boosts or reduces the score due to things that I like or dislike that don't fall into other categories (like my pet hate corner lines). Minimum x0.8, maximum x1.2)One tiny little niggle. It would have been nice if normal spikes would have been used instead of it being entirely little monster things (what do you call them?) OVERALL - (5.8/10) - Decent level It's a fine update to Back on Track with a number of issues. It's enjoyable, it has great gameplay, but when you consider how often it has been done and the so-so design, it's not that great. Good work, though
