Nice try, but low decoration and poor gameplay, 3.5/10
You gotta get better at decoration and "setting an atmosphere"

Dropping a review real quick: THE GOOD BITS- The design isn't too bad, sticking to a solid design style
- The beginning of the level look really rather promising
- The first half of the level has a pretty consistent difficulty
- Level is synced well with music
THE NOT-SO-GOOD BITS
- The design, though not bad and far from ugly, isn't anything special
- There is a serious lack of decoration throughout, making the level look quite bare (the very beginning is fine)
- There is even a lack of blocks in place where you can see great big gaping holes before entering a bit with a black background
- The difficulty goes from being a fun and enjoyable harder-ish level to almost demon all of a sudden in the second half. Try to keep difficulty consistent or slowly progressive. It's hard to rate a level with two halves
- You need time to react to what is happening at the very beginning of the level, and this level jumps straight in. Leave a little space before firing us into a level
Overall, I kind of feel like this is like a base of a level. It looks like you have sorted out what's going where and just considered the level done. It lacks a lot of decorative features and even blocks in places. This, plus the other gameplay flaws means that I wouldn't see this getting stars any time soon. Like the person above me, 3.5/10

Good point. I had a few annoying deaths at 91%, but part 2 isn't that hard. |
