Hello.
I've came on this forums because after countless years of searching for a solution to my issue I cannot find any help.
So basically whenever I launch GD in steam it says running for a couple seconds then says play again (did not open)
When I enter event manager I get this application error:
Faulting application name: GeometryDash.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x65808585
Faulting module name: fmod.dll, version: 0.2.2.19, time stamp: 0x65429b4c
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000ae78e
Faulting process ID: 0x1234

Faulting application path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash\GeometryDash.exe
Faulting module path: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash\fmod.dll

About a year back the application fault was similar but the faulting module path was libcocos2d.dll
I have tried every possible solution I can think of.
I have:
Rest whole pc,
Verified integrity of game files,
Used software to find every geometry dash file on my pc then deleting them to re install after,
Downloaded a pirated copy of geometry dash (to understand if steam was the issue),
Ran GD in every compatibility mode/ administrator mode,
Re installed a fresh version of the faulting dll file downloaded online,
Scanned every file for malware countless times,
And a lot more if I'm correct.
I have seen a few similar posts other players have posted looking for support but unfortunately no one could find a solution.
I have been waiting years for 2.2 to be released hoping it would fix and resolve this problem but it has not.
It would be a great help if anyone could help me and others with my issue as I'm totally clueless and give up spending hours trying to fix it myself as it has been many years and I just want to play 2.2 desperately.
