Hi, GD Forums!
I just created my account today so I can, hopefully, get help with a not-so-little problem of mine. That problem is the fact that GD straight-up refuses to work on my PC. I don't know how it happened or when exactly, but I think it's been over 2 weeks. The order of events, after clicking "Start" on Steam are as follows: Game status says it's loading for a few seconds, then it abruptly stops and it goes back to how it was before opened. The problem is that I don't have my account saved up-to date, because, in the game I had a little more stars and orbs that I have in my current save file, and I want to at least back up my stuff before 2.2 is released.
Also, this isn't even the only problem I experienced with the game, because, in the past months before it downright refused to work, I had problems with GD. All of them started after I switched from inbuilt graphics (Intel UHD 630) to a GPU (Radeon RX 6400 LP). Before that, I had no problem with the game other than lag (which was explainable). At first, the game switched from 165Hz (my monitor's refresh rate) to 60Hz whenever the card needed a driver update. Of course, I didn't think much about it. In my eyes it was just a way in which my PC told me it's time for graphics updated.
Then, after "WHAT" by Spu7nix came out, I installed the 4GB Patch so I can play it. Sadly, with it, other than more fps, came more problems, like the game being stuck in 60Hz even though the drivers were up-to-date, but still, it was (kind of, because it was in 60Hz on a 165Hz monitor, after all) playable.
Now we arrive in the present, when the aforementioned things happen. In the title, there is a question mark after "crashing", because I have no idea whether it's actually crashing or not starting at all. Not even clicking on the .exe file for it in the Steam folder works. By the way, knowing all my trouble has started after getting my new GPU, I tried to launch the game while I was connected to the inbuilt graphics, but still the same issue. Not even reinstalling the game worked. Not on my SSD and neither on my HDD.
If it helps, here are my specs:
-PC: Dell Optiplex 3060 SFF
-CPU: Intel i5 8500
-Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 6400 LP, I think it was the Sapphire Pulse variant
-RAM: 16GB SK Hynix DDR4 RAM, 2400/2666MHz (I don't remember)
-Main storage unit: 512 M.2 SSD from Intel, don't remember the model (not Optane)
-Secondary storage unit: WD WD10EZEX 1TB HDD
I'm gonna also put a vid, so you can see how it actually occurs.
Thanks in advance!
Vlad
Edit: Today I tried to run GD again and it gave me this error: . Does anybody know what this mean and how could I fix it?
Edit²: Forgot to write about this last edit (5 minutes ago), so I'm saying it now: Ever since I got my GPU, on top of those problems, now Xbox Game Bar clipping tool (Win + Alt + G) refuses to work with GD, and that's quite a big problem, as I use that to clip my gameplay. If anyone and help me with this it would mean the world to me!
