Honestly it depends on how good it is executed. You can’t really compare unless you can see how well it’s executed.

What do either of those mean Glow is just levels with a ton of glow objects spammed everywhere (Glowy by Robbuck is one of the most extreme examples I can think of off the top of my head). Modern/modernistic is like sleek, vector art/flat design-looking levels, so basically everything by Optical (although many corporate advertisements these days use a similar art style, so maybe you've seen examples irl) Once upon a time I would have said modern is definitely my preference, but it's been so long + I've seen so many good and bad examples of both that tbh it's hard to say which one is better anymore imo. |

This one is very hard to choose but it really depends how they are executed, you can make so many cool things with glow style and modern style. With glow style you can't just spam glow you can use small usage of glow and make awesome things with it, with modern style you have more possibilities with it and make amazing designs with them, you can also use glow to make gradients by using the HUE effect in the editor and make so many cool things with it.

glow because it has more life to it than modern levels, its just better overall But there’s a fault to this, there are a lot of modern levels that are really good and a lot of glow levels that are really bad. it really depends on the level, like if I were to put Kyouki against acu id say Kyouki looks better, Kyouki is a glow leve. but if I were to put glowy against something like poocubed, I’d immediately say poocubed is better. |
