Who is the best Geometry Dash player? In my opinion, it's Riot. He verified Bloodbath and a lot of other levels (Not Acheron, maybe Tartarus.)

to me, this is the same as the bobby fischer vs. magnus carlsen debate in chess. a lot of sports run into the same problem as well. there needs to be a distinction between the following categories:
"best player of all time" = the player who objectively has the most skill
"greatest player of all time" = the most legendary player who was the furthest ahead of their peers at the time they played, and who might've had the most skill if they played in a different era (although we can't really know)
there's definitely a case for someone like riot to fit into the first category, but the second category would unquestionably be zoink or some other player who's still active today.

Few things to be mentioned 1. While talking about best chess players of all time impossible to not include Kasparov. 2. Chess is a game where current generation player can learn from the experience of previous generation players. In GD everyone has to practice themself and improve from the scratch. No matter how much you observe others play, you wont improve in skill. OT: Riot really was a dominant player at 144hz. But I would say Zoinc is the GOAT(Provided he isnt a hacker like spaceUK). IMO verifying all the top 3 is a very unique achievement and really stands out from the achievement of OG top 1 slayers like riot, sunix, technical etc.

Actually Kasparov has the record for max no of championships. Thats what he is most well known for. When kasparov reached 2800s elo rating hardly few players were in 2700s rating. So he dominated like fischer did, but for much longer time . In gd terms, Kasparov is ike the player who verified the most no of top 1 demons. Pretty sure that isnt wolvez. Carlsen is the world cham.... i mean, the best player in all formats in the most competitive era of chess. I doubt if there is any gd counterpart in that aspect.
