A lot of people seem to think that their levels were just copies of the main levels with a few structure and color changes, but I personally think that Neptune was a very good creator for the time. Their levels had good cohesion & block design, and while you could just say that they had good structuring because their levels were copies of the main levels, they still made original levels like the Doomsday duology and Jungle Joyride which had very good deco for the time, and still somewhat hold up today.

While I can see why some people may argue Neptune wasn't a good creator, I'd argue he (pretty sure) kickstarted the rise of v2 levels which continued on for many years, and levels like Jungle Joyride are among the earliest notable themed levels (Jungle Joyride in particular being very well designed for its time as well, and had a huge influence on many creators, myself included).

Of course. Compared to some of the crap getting released at the time, NePtunE levels were great. They were some of the few alternative interpretations of the main levels that were actually good. He didn't just make very hard levels too so there was always something for someone to enjoy. There's a reason thousands were always anticipating his levels, especially v2s, after every update. Levels like Doomsday and Necropolis still look decent to this day imo

His initial level remakes were quite good tbh. He modified the level quite a bit so that they dont feel tooo unoriginal, while also retaining the essence of the original robtop level
But electrodynamix v2 and beyonds were not good. He buffed the level way too much and ruined the gameplay. They were mostly unbalanced and just annoying dtonplay in general
His non remake levels were all just average, nothing too special, except necropolis maybe

Neptune made apart from my childhood, I played his levels a lot and never beat them of course, but the level remakes are good and kinda look like they were made from Robtop (well, not really, but it's just a good level to me), and there's not really much to say but his levels are good to me.

He was ok, he did started the V2 series but he's also famous for Necropolis which used to be one of the hardest levels back in the early days I think.

I really like your opinion! While there are some who may believe that Neptune's levels are clones with minor changes, I appreciate their creativity and skill as a creator. Neptune is definitely an amazing creator. However, some of his levels are just incredibly unbalanced.
