I mean, cmon now. It's a geometry dash forum. Unless I missed something in my absence, the user base of this forum was never some hallmark of maturity. Hell I would imagine the community being more mature now than it was pre 2017 just due to average player age rising a bit. If this place did somehow become more active again, the level of maturity would be nothing you wouldn't expect from the GD community. it's kinda fun to think back to the days when gdforums actually had a part in shaping the community but honestly I don't really see them coming back in a meaningful way, as I'm pretty sure the thread based discussion niche of social media was taken over by Reddit. That being said, I'm personally pleasantly surprised that there still seems to be some activity here

Forums are an outdated form of communication. They had a lot more of a fun chaotic atmosphere vibe back in the day when they were active with all of the fun Forum Games and the fun personalities who were also always active, but most of them have moved on understandably. I prefer the forums to be inactive, I almost wish they were archived so not much more damage could be done to something a lot of us had a ton of fun with when we were a lot younger haha. You can’t catch lightning in a bottle twice, and if the forums were to become active again a majority of the old members who made it fun to talk here would need to comeback along with other ways to push it to newer members.
I wish the forums still had the same atmosphere they used to but it’s hard to have that now, a lot of the fun personalities have grown up and moved on with their lives or moved onto Discord, and while you can try to bring back the forums, they’ll never be the same sadly.
