i thought I would give you this amazing thread to help you find out how to respond and or give feedback or criticism. I’ll street off this thread now so y oh don’t have to wait!

When you are given feedback on your level. There are a few things you need to watch out for.
-is the feedback vague? ie: “it’s bad” “it’s perfect”
-is it full of bias from someone else? ie: someone who just doesn’t like you and tries to give you negative feedback
-is it insulting? ie: “ew stop creating
rn”
Those are main things you wanna look for. We’ll start with the first part.
Vague feedback is when someone tells you something about a level but doesn’t tell you what part they are talking about. If someone said “it’s bad” well what could be bad? The structuring? The background? The block design? Or is it the whole thing?
Vague feedback can be anything. The way you respond to this is to not ignore them. You ask them something like “what is making the level bad” Now they can give you a straight answer after that, or follow with more vague feedback.
Let’s talk about the next part
Sometimes you can get people to give you really bad feedback because they just don’t like you for some reason. Here’s a rule of advice. You don’t have to accept feedback. We’ll talk more about this later!
The third part talks about insulting feedback. If someone says some rude hurtful things to you because you asked for feedback, you need to remember, that’s their fault. You don’t have to listen to them.
Giving Feedback
Now Take everything above and apply it to yourself. Don’t give vague feedback. Don’t be insulting. It’s easy. Try and converse. (I have severe ADHD so I literally lost interest in doing this at this point and time)
Heres some more rules about feedback.

do those in that EXACT order!!! You get/give feedback. Converse with the person. Listen to what they have to say. Now the third part is mainly for getting feedback. If you accept their feedback, act on it, and show the person how it looks. And repeat. If you decline someone else’s feedback. Tell them why. Don’t just sit their and not answer them. Like I said earlier YOU DO NOT NEED TO ACCEPT ALL FEEDBACK!! That’s about it. Anything anyone wants to add be my guest!
