2.0

Looks like GD's coming full circle - for awhile we were at 1.9 nostalgia! It is nice when this sort of thing happens for the most part since a) creators can make better levels in those styles since they have hindsight on how everything works now as opposed to when the update first came out, and b) it lets smaller or older creators who aren't as good with the modern editor get a chance at making something that gets recognized again or get star rated.

Of course there will be creators who throw together quick, cheap levels in 2.0 style for creator points; however, since the player base's standards have evolved so much, even levels in 2.0 style will generally need to be moderately well-designed at least (or as well designed as some 2.1 levels), so the absolute garbage levels generally won't stand a chance. I don't know how long the trend will continue, but at this rate expect it to last for awhile (the 1.9 nostalgia has been going for years at this point) assuming we don't get 2.2 anytime soon, since people will get bored of sticking to 2.1 and what they know. If there is no future that they can see for right now, the players are going to keep looking to the past over and over to distract them from the endless present.
