This is judging from just the original version, but:
Gameplay: Looks fun, although there's a little more memorization than I would have preferred.
Design: Fairly inconsistent... Some parts, like Drak's, have very nice design, but other parts which I won't name have some problems, like lack of decoration or corner pieces. I'll point out Venom's part just to say that it does have promise, but really needs some kind of liveliness with beating objects or more colors.
I'll try the updated version in practice when I get the chance.
