This is a glitch that happens sometimes. I'm not entirely sure how to fix it, but my recommendation is to refresh your login, close the game, and then reopen it.

I suggest following Fezzie's advice here. This particular glitch never happened to me when I played GD but login refreshes are usually one of the best ways to fix quite a few account glitches (although not all because nobody except RobTop can definitively fix servers).
