Hi. Dad GD noob asking for 10yr old here..
I did email support @ robtop etc about a week ago but no response so hopefully someone can help.
My 10yr old has been obsessed with GD for ages and have created huge amounts of levels etc.
Playing on an amazon fire tablet.
A couple of days ago when going to play, he noticed that his account wasn't logged in. Then we logged in after resetting the password. Now all his levels are gone, all progress gone too. He cannot comment or see other people's profiles.
We have logeed out and in again many times. We have unlinked account and relinked...
Using His brothers account he can still see all the levels he has created and his profile and progress. So it still seems to exist but he accnot directly access it thru the account... Oddly.
Can you help please? He is sad as he has invested far too much to have it disappear.

If you plan to stick around, make sure to read the rules before posting more: gdforum.freeforums.net/page/rulesI don't know why your son would have been logged out of his account without knowing about it (unless his brother is up to some mischief), but the reason why his data is gone when he logs back in could be one of two things: 1. He didn't save the game data before logging out. This can be done by going to the game settings. clicking Account, and then clicking Save. This won't work unless you go to the More button in the same section and click Refresh Login (this allows you to essentially update your account by logging in with your new username and/or password without having to log out beforehand) 2. If he did save, he didn't load the data. The button to do this can be found in the same Account section of the game settings, and works similarly to the Save button. However, make sure that he really does have less data than he had previously before you load, since loading data here means that you load whatever data you had the last time you saved it, so you could still lose data this way if you're not careful. Hope this helps  Edit: also, RobTop's emails get flooded a lot with spam and the like so there is unfortunately little chance that he will respond or even see your email, so seeking out other help online is probably the best way to go for future issues. |

Alright i think I know where the problem might be. GD is very bizarre when it comes to accounts and there is no autosave feature. When you log in to an account the progress doesn't automatically come back instead you have to load it in manually. You might have noticed the load button near the relink account button. If your son has saved the game before then you can load back to that point. All you have to do is press the load button. DO NOT PRESS THE SAVE BUTTON. That will make the point where the game loads from the place with no progress.
Some things to keep in mind
1. Be careful. If your son hasn't pressed the save button before then it probably won't restore a lot of his progress. Like i said I don't think GD has an autosave.
2. Once you load you can't load back. Once you load to a point there no way to revert the change. Although if all progress is gone that should not be much on an issue.
3. You could also try contacting Robtop directly though discord where he is more active. Although i don't know exactly where to find him as i don't use discord.
4. I am not an expert and you should do your own research as well.
Edit: Lmao took me longer than jayflight apparently and i didn't see jayflights post. Still hope i can add something new here.

Thanks guys. I suspect he has pressed save a number of times since its been 'broken'.
Tbf tho I did see that when he tried to load etc it just says. There has been an error..
Anyway looks like it's gone from the sound of it. Shame.
