Not sure I have a favorite, but Pandora's Lab is a really good read - real tales about the consequences of human innovation.

I don't have specific favorites, really, but there are a lot of series or books in the same 'universe' that I enjoyed while growing up that I still hold dear to my heart. In no particular order:
Warriors Harry Potter The Hobbit The Lord of the Rings Keeper of the Lost Cities The Five Kingdoms The Wingfeather Saga Wings of Fire Survivors The Chronicles of Narnia Watership Down The Pyrdain Chronicles The Mennyms The Never-ending Story Hunger Games

I know this is a bit of a nerd answer, but if you're into politics, The Social Contract by Jean-Jacques Rousseau is really fascinating as far as nonfiction books go.

Always thought that Suzanne Collins' writing style seemed unnatural - kinda forced and clunky for the most part, even when I read the trilogy for the first time as a 12 year old. The prequel book that came out last year was technically more well written but Snow is overrated as a villain imo and that book seemed like Collins was trying to hard to make the story sound more polished and fancy.
