[ti]Demon[/ti]Which demon is harder?

Deadlocked, decode has some parts that are way easier nowdays, altough deadlocked didn't aged that much and still holds much of it's difficulty.

DeCode imo, both are easy demons though. DeCode’s UFO alone is harder than the second wave (including the mini wave), and the last wave is harder than the first Deadlocked wave. Then DeCode and Deadlocked are about the same diff, so DeCode is overall harder.

DeCode was the most recent demon level I've beaten, and I've got to say, it's the first level that has actually challenged me since beating Deadlocked. So I've been wondering whether I could call this my new hardest demon level, or if it's only second to Deadlocked.

Deadlocked has some parts that are more difficult than those in DeCode imo, but the former has inconsistent difficulty because some parts can get quite easy for a demon level. Meanwhile, DeCode seems to retain its easy demon difficulty throughout the level. That UFO part at around 62 or 63% isn't really a problem for me, but with that tight slow speed Wave and the upside-down Ship that comes after, I think DeCode's slightly more difficult in this case.

However, maybe it's because I've already rebeat Deadlocked a couple of times, so I basically know the layout of the level already. Also, Deadlocked took me 4K attempts, while DeCode only took me under 1K. Not sure if it's because i've gotten more skilled (since it's been a while since I first beat Deadlocked) or if Deadlocked is really more difficult.

I'm not really sure which is harder, so I'll just say that they're both high-end easy demon levels and are roughly the same difficulty.

Not sure about Deadlocked and DeCode since I've never actually beaten a Medium, but I agree with Clutterfunk v2, since I find it easier than those two. I guess it was just an overrated Easy demon, but it has actually been recently rerated from Medium to Easy demon.

I personally uphold the belief that Deadlocked is a much more difficult level than DeCode by Rek3dge by quite the significant margin. For one, Deadlocked would perhaps be considered a ludicrously more fast-paced level than DeCode, owing not only to the song's BPM must the intensity of the gameplay itself as well. The frequency of speed portals present throughout Deadlocked are also an additional challenge as they force players to have to adapt to the constantly changing pace at which the level progresses. Not to mention the amount of consistency required to surpass the wave spam sections of Deadlocked, which is admittedly completely random and only up to Lady Luck's decision as to whether they are passed most of the time. Robot sections present throughout the level also require some sort of consistency skill to pass.

On the other hand, DeCode is admittedly a far more relaxed level with not as much intensity behind its level design, with predictable paths that can be easily seen through most of the time. The generally slower pace of the level in question allows more players, even newer ones, to see through easily and quickly make decisions even with a slower reaction time, seeing as the slower pace of the level at hand does permit decisions to be taken more slowly and with more analysis behind. Even the faster-paced sections of DeCode are relatively simple and straightforward with a very simple pattern and path to be taken. Memory sections are just as similarly simple with a set route that can be very easily memorised as a result. The most difficult part of DeCode is probably the timing required in some sections, especially the infamous wave sections, alongside a few other ship and UFO sections before and after the subject matter. Even still, DeCode is still, at least in comparison to Deadlocked, much an easier level to complete and is probably a better choice for newer players.

And thus I end my argument that Deadlocked is indeed the more difficult level, and as the results of the poll above may suggest most members seeing this post must very well agree with me. Thank you for reading this message, and I rest my case.
