Look at all these people making such a big deal over extreme demons. All it takes is time and dedication, and you'll get there. One year, two years; hell, even five years, if that's what it takes. Spend attempt upon attempt of sharpening your skills, and eventually even the oldest titans of GD will bow down to your might. And the best part? Anyone could do it. It's just that the plebs aren't willing to dedicate themselves to it.
...right?
This is of course ignoring hardware differences.

GD is the type of game where practice goes a long way. If you're really dedicated to getting better at the game, there's plenty of levels to help nurture all different types of skills in the game. It's not the kind of thing that'll happen overnight (after all, top-tier players like Swish didn't start off as great players from the get-go), but with time put into practicing and the willpower to challenge yourself, I think anyone could be potentially good at the game, even ignoring monitor differences.

There's definitely a level of skill required to beat some of the levels in this game. While it does hold true that anyone can do anything, how much time it would take them is usually a decent indicator. For example, Gizbro beat Incipient in under 1000 attempts (and that's with old attempts by the way). KneeVan, on the other hand, took a little over 8k to do it. KneeVan's a good player, don't get me wrong, however at the time, KneeVan was doing this for his hardest demon, while Gizbro did it as more of a side project since he'd already beaten levels significantly harder for the time. This is where the element of skill came into play. KneeVan wasn't as good as Gizbro at the time he beat this, meaning it took him longer to do the level overall, even though it's the same level.
(btw these people do have different hz but Incipient is pretty friendly for 60Hz so it doesn't make THAT much of a difference in this case)

I disagree. For mobile users extreme demons are impossible. Tbh even DL is a huge challenge in mobile

I disagree. For mobile users extreme demons are impossible. Tbh even DL is a huge challenge in mobile Oh really? I couldn't tell. Hardware matters a lot. It can't be just ignored. Even if it is, it is a very ideal case where "all players put in a lot of effort for 3+ years to improve their gd skills without getting bored or complacent. " In reality, we will get bored of gd after some time or we don't feel like progressing further just because we feel we have reached our skill limit. So answer to ur question is: In ideal case: yes In realistic case: no

I’m so sick of the stupid argument that ‘60hz means u can’t be good at the game DDD:’
Of course you fucking can. I will always consider beating a certain hard level on 60hz a much better achievement than beating said level on 144hz. Bigthunder556 is good at GD and his hardest demon is bloodbath on mobile, in my opinion a better achievement than a 144 player beating Plasma Pulse Finale. Just because something is considered much less of an achievement by 144 standards doesn’t mean it isn’t one on mobile or 60hz standards. It’s really that simple.
Yes, anyone can be ‘good’ at gd. I say good in quotations because the definition of good in this thread seems to be beating a top 20 or something. I think people forget just how hard stuff like Cataclysm is compared to everything else in this game. Imo just beating that makes you a great player.

Unless you are using a below average phone, I would say anyone can be good. Take dragon for example, who has been able to beat Incipient on an iPhone SE. This is not a 144hz monitor, nor even a PC. Heck it isn't even a great phone but he managed through a lot of time playing the game and bettering himself to beat an extreme demon. While there are always people who actually may be limited by an old phone or bad PC, the vast majority of people who complain about not being able to get better at the game are people who haven't actually put in the time to better themselves and just expect everything to be easy.

Anyone can be good at GD but you don't necessarily improve your skill at a consistent pace. There are times when you take months or years to get a new hardest demon and there are times where you get several new hardest demons within the span of weeks.

Although it is technically possible to beat extreme demons on mobile or 60Hz screens, I personally think that the community has made this less likely. With the 'consensus' that 60Hz monitors are inferior, people generally will be discouraged to actually dedicate to 60Hz. Plus, if they are this dedicated, they will probably go the extra mile and get monitors with higher refresh rate anyways. Of course there are people protesting the superiority of 480Hz screens and play in 60Hz, and people who don't want to dedicate actual currency (professional wording) with 144Hz screens, and people who plays casually but beats demons because they think it is fun. Ultimately, it's how you want to play that determines how you play. Geometry Dash is played by humans so psychology plays a role here.
Hardware aside, practice really plays an important role in beating levels. As a teen (don't ask for my age) who plays in 60Hz, I judge levels at the Judging Panel, and may run into demons. (fortunately they are hard because of difficulty spikes so I can fluke the stage after making past them) Demons can be beaten by a person who only have beaten 4 demons in their lifetime with sheer practice. However, how long to practice depends on your skill and talent. If you are a timing expert, or a master in reading layouts, you can beat levels much easier than others. Therefore, you may see people constantly posting clips beating hard/insane/extreme demons. Geometry Dash is a game where skill and dedication are both important but not crucial to success. This also extends towards the creating part of Geometry Dash, but that's out-topic, so I'm not going to talk about it here.
