Using windows 10, previously played a few months ago, but recently reset my pc, and after doing everything I could find (Verify game in steam, compatibility mode, reinstall c++, etc) The game still says running for about 3 seconds, and then goes back to closed, please help!
Playing on an i5-6400 , gtx 960 , 16gb ram!

Also, when checking in appdata local, there is nothing in my gd folder!

In your Appdata Local GD folder, there should be four files apart from the songs you've downloaded. If they're not there then that may be the problem.

So after checking in the local folder, I do not have the 4 files in there. Any idea on how I could get them?

Did you say you verified the files on Steam? If you have then try reinstalling GD.

1. Maybe you could check in which folder your Data gonna save. Maybe Steam can't find them then. So you must set it in the right folder.
2. Try to reinstall Steam. I don't know whether you have other games and whether they save your data automatically. If you only have GD there, you could try. For saving and reloading your data correctly, I have made a thread in this community. Please click here: Save and load GD-Data. (It's the same scenario. You just must note that you save and restore on the same platform) Please read the thread before delete/deinstall Geometry Dash or Steam (If you don't know how t to do it.)
3. Try to write a message to steam (support). Maybe you're not the first one which have this problem and they can help you better, than we can.

So I have the same problem right know (I bought the game on November 26th and now it cannot be used ): ). lol
Maybe it's during the Steam autumn sale :/
I was able to play it since the day, when I've bought it, but not today. I cannot open/play GD on steam. Has anyone the same problem?

So i switched over to bluestacks and the game runs fine , I dont know why steam is doing what it is, but thank you guys for trying to help!
