idk where tf i'm rlly supposed to ask this, or if i'm even allowed to ask this or whatever.
basically, i haven't played gd in a hella long time, nor have i checked in with their community. is there any news of 2.2 that i've missed out on lately?

Rob has made a couple previews and all. However, I’m pretty sure Viprin said a while back that the 2.1 awards would happen about the same time that 2.2 came out, and it’s scheduled for December 14 now. Could be coming to a close but who knows

Question, why cant ViPriN rate GD levels? If he is so connected to RobTop, why cannot he rate levels like RobTop does? |

Because no matter how close Viprin is to Robtop, he's still just an elder mod and rating levels is not part of his job, that power only belongs to Robtop at the moment.
Plus, since Viprin probably has far more close friends in the community than Rob does, he may be more likely to cater to his friends and rate any sub-par levels they make. Rob probably has significantly less bias in this area.

I wonder how many people are in RobTop Inc. Idk, hopefully Rob's hired or is planning to hire a team to help him at some point to allow updates and bugfixes to come more quickly. If he always plans to remain a solo developer the game will only die faster, but its inevitable death may slow down if the update speed can pick up. |

i honestly have given up all hope of 2.2 as a whole so i don't think i've missed much I would have also pretty much given up hope as well, but Viprin announced the 2.1 Awards date (I think Dec 14) and said it had been pushed back to that date so it wouldn't come way too close to 2.2.. so I'm thinking probable early 2020 release.
Except RobTop is RobTop, so there may not be as much of a chance as I think there will be. Mid-late 2020 maybe, hopefully before.

Rub initially said that it could be done hopefully around "December 2018", and it still hasn't happened, so I'll say, December 2020 is probably the final date for me before I just give up hope on Robtop completely. I've practically gotten used to the idea that 2.1 is here to stay now, so I'm not actually bothered as much.
