(Disclaimer: By “Played,” I mean that you should’ve beaten or at least made significant enough progress on a level to have a good familiarity with each part and how to do them. Your 500+ attempt practice run on X level with nothing else isn’t progress.)
So yeah the title question basically. What is the level that you had the least fun playing through, whether you ended up finishing it or not?
The least fun level I beat was HeLL. I really hated the gameplay in general as it was very unbalanced, especially since I play on a phone.
The least fun level I played (but didn’t beat) was probably Superstrike. I kinda enjoyed it to start but the amount of bugs and weird inconsistencies killed the enjoyment for me. As of now I have 66% and 52-100. Whether I choose to finish it or not remains to be seen.

Try to beat MetalCore v2 and try not to hate it, I dare you.
For real, it's like making an already weird level even worse. It's full of bugs, inverted slopes on purpose just to confuse the players. It has buggy gameplay and it's not an easy level either (it's rated insane demon in game, but it's more of an inconsistent hard demon). I got 76% on it and I currently am sick of it, I might return to it someday. Not a fun level at all.

clup adventure
the golden standard for garbage horrible levels. multiple parts are essentially rng and the rest is just super unfun. also its three minutes long so its both easy to fuck up at the end from nerves and also the parts that dont randomly kill you are super boring

I could be missing something, but the worst level I've ever played that comes to mind is HeLL as well. I would have ranked my enjoyment better if I had ended up fluking it from 40% (I probably would have fluked it if I were not going for the coins), but I ended up dying at the last ship four or five times. IIRC, the real experience killer was the first wave especially, and onwards until 40%. I never recorded my reaction when I beat it, but I remember it being a loud shout that would have scared someone.
Pretty cool timestamp:

Oh boy:
Most unfun NC level: Infinite Circles
A mess of an poorly decorated, shit gameplay, unbalanced and unsynced level. I actually had a rant about this level because of how shit it was and I died at 98% trying to get the coin
Most unfun map pack level(s): I actually have 4 of them. Corrupted Kingdom for being fucking unbalanced, Funky Dice for being a level bugged to shit, and Gravity Cycles, Theory of Relativity were fucking updated to shit 2.0 levels.
Most unfun easy demon:
Proximity by Lemons for how annoying it was and the fact that I could never get consistent with the gameplay. Took me way too long to beat, pain in the ass.
Most unfun Robtop demon: Theory of Everything 2 because of the 80% ship and the fact that the first coin feels so fucking luck based. Robtop never learnt to make gameplay
Most unfun easy level: Xmas challenge. You know what you did Andromeda.

Stereo Demoness.
I have a screenshot of the completion screen. I played the level from 0 for four hours straight before beating it. Surprisingly I didn't really feel much anger or anything really, kinda makes me want to play another level like it.
Forest Temple on the other hand, is downright the absolute WORST level I've ever played and I hate literally every single part in it. I got to about 59% before giving up. Inconsistent, horrible, and just plain unfun. I don't see myself beating it soon, or even playing it.

Extinction by haoN is most likely the worst level I've ever played in my life ever and what probably made this level worse for me was the fact that I was expecting sth really fun and easy demon, because that's how Youtubers promoted it. Instead, what I played, was an inconsistent, luck-based mess that was super annoying and unfun. I don't care if, when I'm playing it now, I get past the way-too-tight-for-easy-demon wave part, because another part will just kill me out of nowhere. GOD, I hate this level lmfao
Dishonourable mentions include Crying Souls, a level which to this day makes me wonder why it would be a good idea to practice it, Odyssey by Viprin, which um... well, I'll talk about this another time and, lastly, Problematic and yes, in my opinion that first square part is a deal-breaker ngl.

Oh my god. Steel. Fucking. Doom.
This level really doesn't look that bad at first if you're watching a video of it, but holy shit is this level ever annoying. This level contains so many inconsistent timings and flash transitions, especially during the drop (which takes up about two thirds of the almost two minute long level). This level is also extremely spammy. In most of the cube and robot parts especially, you have to hit tons of orbs in rapid succession. It does a number on your fingers if you're a mobile player like me and if you try to beat the level in one session. And again, really stupid ass timings are quite frequent in this level with the worst instances definitely being in the later robot parts.
The bossfight in the middle of the level is the absolute worst part. The fact that it's essentially just a more obscured straight flying/waving challenge is a problem, but what makes it worse is that there's no indicators on where the ground and floor are. The black glow makes it literally impossible to see the hitboxes on the ground and ceiling (which is worsened in LDM, which I needed). It looks easy in a video but I swear, this is so fucking annoying to deal with when actually playing the level because you're essentially straight flying/waving in several invisible 2/3-block-wide gaps.
Dishonorable Mentions: Most medium and hard demons I've beaten because I really just hate playing the same level for longer than, like, an hour because it can get draining really quickly, even if the level is fun at first. In addition, I also hated Ship because it lagged uncontrollably during one part near the very end, and two specific structures (Capz's and Torch's) at the very VERY end were extremely inconsistent and annoying to pull off. I think I had more deaths in those two places than anywhere else in the level. In addition, most of the transitions were difficult to react to, mostly because of the black flashes, but in some instances (the one at 41%, I can't find the creator's name nor can I read their logo), it's because of moving objects and in others (the minecraft one at 74%) were just really difficult to read. The level itself is pretty easy though, even on mobile, and it didn't take me that long so eh.

Nine Circles.
The decoration isn't that bad considering that it was made in early 1.9. The gameplay, however, is the worst gameplay I've found in any rated level. First of all, the transitions are shit, especially the wave to cube transition near the end. In addition to this, the difficulty in the level is extremely inconsistent. There are parts that wouldn't be out of place in an insane demon, but there are also parts that seem like they were taken from normal or hard levels. The entire wave section seemed to me like it tried to use difficulty to cover up poor quality gameplay, which is absolutely unforgivable. The one potentially redeeming quality that this level has is that the music at least somewhat syncs with the gameplay, but it's not anywhere close to perfect, and that's somehow the least awful thing in this fucking dumpster fire of a level.
Dishonorable mentions: Sidestep, Deadlocked, Acropolis, The Triple Trial

Bloodbath is and will always be the absolute worst level I’ve ever played in my life I hate it so damn much I can’t even put it into words.
Straightfly and consistency in long levels are my 2 biggest weaknesses in this game and bloodbath mixes those and makes hell out of it. It takes absolutely forever to become consistent at the first 25% of the level, and that’s not even the hard part of it. After that is the hardest part of the entire level which is the most horrifying thing I’ve ever played.
Michigun is such a pain to pass that dying at as little as 34 PERCENT can set you off and make you feel very frustrated with yourself. The straightfly in it is perhaps the worst thing about it. It’s annoying to enter, whichever method you use, and then you have to straighten yourself out. It’s not the tightest straightfly in the level but it’s certainly the most frustrating one. After that is the UFO. I don’t find this as bad as other people do but it’s still really annoying. Aside from doing really difficult jumps, you have to enter in the right spot as well, or else you’ll die at the end of it regardless if you timed the rest of it right or not. And then after the UFO is the wave. I swear, no matter how many times I practiced it, did it X times in a row, regained consistency on it, it’s STILL stupid from 0. I’m not sure what it is about it.
And then there’s Crack. Crack is mixed for me, some days I’m excellent at it and some days it’s absolute shit. Most of its ‘fine’ but one thing I’ll never get over is the double speed portion of it. It’s so damn tight and hard to get past. Even if you get past the portions before it you basically know your run is gonna end there. And if it doesn’t then congrats you basically have a free pass to 70%.
Unless you choke. I died a few times between crack and etzer and it’s the worst feeling in the world.
You might expect me to complain about Etzer but I won’t because that part honestly isn’t that bad. What is bad though, is the damn stress past 70%. After all that you’ve gone through, the first 25%, Michigun, Crack, it gets to the short break section and a new part of the song and that’s when your heart really starts beating. The nerves at etzer+ are insane and because of that it’s easy to choke. There’s only 1 hard part left in the level, unfortunately that part is the very last one.
Gboy is Hell simply because of 95% and that’s it. It’s so hard to do with the nerves and the transition into it. The timings before it aren’t nice with the nerves either even though they aren’t that hard, and if you’re really unlucky you’ll die at the last ball. My advice to anybody playing Bloodbath; do NOT be dissapointed if you die in Gboy because it’s what you should expect. Then you can handle the death and move on from it.
Anyways that’s why Bloodbath is the worst shit in the world. I am more than proud to say I’m a victor of it. Don’t look at Bloodbath as something ‘easy’ or ‘free’ on 144hz because it’s not. Any level that hard or harder is incredibly difficult to beat.
Here’s my top 5 worst levels I’ve beaten (not played), I’ll give a bit of context on all of them because they’re all shit. 1. Bloodbath 2. Annihilation Nation 3. Necropolis 4. Quest for Perfection 5. Geminorum
Annihilation Nation is shit because of how it’s built. It’s straightfly galore which is bad enough but for some reason it decides to also throw a dual straightfly at you. And let me tell ya, dual straightfly on 144hz feels like you’re back on 60hz again, the input delay is that bad. Getting to the break of the level is really hard at first but that doesn’t even matter in the end. What Annihilation Nation is really about is grinding attempts on the slow wave. The slow wave is absolutely insanity. It’s so incredibly hard and it’s far into the level as well. Passing it is the worst. And even still, after even the slow wave is probably the hardest ship in the entire level. AN really sucks.
Necropolis would be a nice level if it weren’t for the fucking end. I beat Necropolis on 60hz so the final ball was utter hell, not to mention the final ship was also somewhat bad. What you do before 90% does not matter one bit because the final ball is so luck based on 60hz it’s ridiculous. It makes the entire level feel like a drag. Not to mention you won’t start getting there until you gain a good amount of consistency on 0-66 and you get good enough at 66-72. Necropolis is just a pain.
Quest for Perfection is a good level put to waste by 1 part. It overall made for a better cataclysm except for this 1 part. And if you can’t tell what that part is just by watching a video of the level, well that’s kind of a shock to me. I’m talking about the last dual of course. Why lazerblitz replaced the nice and easy wave with the stupidest dual I’ve ever played I will never know. It’s not like regular dual gameplay. It’s just weird, and the second half of it is bug ridden as well. It’s also 10x harder than the rest of the entire level. If you don’t believe a level can be ruined by just 1 part, well, here’s the perfect level for you. What made matters worse for me is that I died past the dual multiple times, twice at 95 because that straightfly really sucks.
And finally, Geminorum. This level is an exception because I actually didn’t struggle like hell on it unlike the rest of my top 5 worst. In fact I had one of my absolute best flukes on it, from 67%, before many of the bad parts and a very hard ship. But that should tell you just how bad it is. I got a great fluke and it’s STILL in my top 5 worst. First of all, it’s early 2.0 which says enough about this level as it is. There’s a bunch of really bad move trigger crap that really sucks, and the deco is absolutely disgusting. The gameplay choices in this level make me question existence itself. I can’t comprehend how on earth you would make gameplay as bad as the stuff in Geminorum. It’s extremely buggy, very inconsistent, has very awkward transitions and is overall weird to play. Had I struggled on this level it might have topped bloodbath for the worst level I’ve ever played but I didn’t and I’m damn glad about that.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed reading this unnecessarily long post

any mappack demon (or let's say 99% of them).
Also: Ultrasonic - the ball at the beginning is incredibly and surprisingly annoying, especially if it's your first time with something like that. Afterwards, it's not TOO bad until after the memory ball (the swingcopter and memory ball aren't that bad, you just have to kinda memorise them, although they aren't that great nonetheless). So yeah, after that memory ball, you get another annoying ball paired with an annoying ufo, paired with a tight wave (not to mention the stress at this point). And after ALL of that, you just get some random annoying orb spamming paired with another pretty random wave/ship part at which it is SO easy to die at (and the stress by this point must be insane), it's just unfair. I swear that if I hadn't fluked from ~76% that one time, I still wouldn't have beaten this to this day...

Beating Clubstep took the soul out of me, it was incredibly painful, everything was so frustrating. But Jawbreaker, I haven't spent half the attempts as I have with Clubstep or Deadlocked, but I'm taking twice as long, the gameplay is inconsistently difficult, and the transitions hurt. Nine Circles is fun BTW.
