Now I may be a little bit bias, but I hate this rating system. Firstly, when people post levels, they may not be rated in their lifetime. What I mean by rated is not featured or epic, but mainly just the difficulty, as I agree that only RobTop should make levels featured or epic. Also, RopTop isn't 100% accurate with ratings. For example, a level could be auto, but is instead rated hard or harder. What I mean by this is that levels should be automatically rated in difficulty. The level should be scanned by a scanner and try to go through your level with out touching any obstacles. The difficulty of the level should be based on how many inputs a player would need minimum to beat the level. The scanner will always start at auto. If you have to hit a jump orb late, the difficulty level will increase. If the level becomes easy after that, the difficulty will decrease. However, if a level that is generally hard, but has 1 tiny auto part, the auto part wouldn't affect the level as much as if a level was hard at the beginning, but the auto part lasts for the rest of the level, then the difficulty would be lowered. Also, for wave and ship parts, the scanner should measure the space available for the ship/wave to pass through. If a level is very hard but has a secret way, then the the difficulty would be dramatically decreased, and the level would say "secret way" when it is uploaded. If a level is so hard that it is considered a demon level, it would be but in a potential demon list that only RobTop could access. In order for the level to be considered a demon, RobTop would have to click a button saying "Verify Demon." Then a box will appear saying if he is sure that he wants to verify the level. If RobTop clicks the "yes" button, then the targeted level would officially be a demon. If a demon isn't verified, then it would be considered insane, but with horns on it, stating it is demon difficulty. This would prevent millions of levels turning demon. If somehow a level is impossible, then the level would be rated impossible.

2) That difficulty-judging algorithm sounds:
a) extremely hard to make;
b) will present many problems, for example with levels with alternate coin routes.
People 99.5% of the time have to make solidly long and decently good levels to get them rated, that's just how it is. Of course there's exceptions like Xmas Challenge and the late Battle of the Shades, but if levels get automatically rated like that, there would be many problems presented to the game, with stars becoming too easy to earn, creators finding ways around the system, and star-grinding hackers.
It's a cool idea but unfortunately it's not one that will work.

It's a cool idea but unfortunately it's not one that will work.I actually had a similar idea, only if was for verifying. A bot beats your level for you. Also, I don't think that input count is the best idea, a level with a single spike is harder than a triple spike level. I don't think it should be automatically starred either, I think RobTop should add trusted players, lower than moderators but high enough to rate levels. Say, EVW finds an amazing recent level, I think he should be allowed to rate it. Also, no impossible levels, we don't want to promote hacking to beat these. The reason I quoted AquaHeart is that I believe that a system like that wouldn't be too difficult. Just have a system that tested out inputs in about every 30th of a second(to keep it fair) and the game runs very fast, when a path works, it continues doing it. One more thing is that levels like MasterGame would not work very well like this, the save system would ruin it...

There's literally no problem with the current system because this is the **MOD's** job. The mods send the level for the difficulty they think it is. In short, this is a terrible and flawed idea that would be an absolute waste of time for Rob.
