Like sometimes to me it seems like the bad guy's thinking a bit more logically than the good guy.
Like ngl I sorta agree with Doomfist about war, I firmly believe that humanity can't have a happy existence without killing the fuck outta each other first.

I agree with Thanos about overpopulation and happiness. The universe only has so many resources.
idk if an antihero counts, but Light Yagami's ideals are very sympathetic. Who doesn't want bad people gone?
Of course, the execution of the ideal is what makes a villain a villain.

yes, i know a lot of people here used to be familiar with danganronpa and in V3 there's one character who's the ultimate supreme leader, and well, he's one of the biggest ****s ever including him pretending to be the ringleader of a killing game and making it out that he's enjoying it so he could secretly attempt to end it but i related to him a lot and so i guess i agreed with what he did despite him being VERY villainous

thread marks the first time i've actually not clicked on a spoiler for the sole purpose of avoiding spoilers, ty lockstep
but generally i have a morbid view on life, currently. overpopulation is a big issue for me. so you best believe i'm with thanos but i'm sure there's a better way to randomly wipe out half of all life than just random chance

i agree with my buddy lock, the hecking ultimate supreme leader boi in danganronpa v3, is hecking epic, even though he's a massive hecking jerk, especially in later chapters i really like how he destroyed the class trial in ch5, he planned everything epic style, you can see he went all out for it when he gave kaito the guidebook for when whatever happens in the class trial
but in the end, he failed. but it was probably my favorite acts of a villain character

Terence Fletcher in the movie Whiplash, if you know what the movie is. It's basically this movie about an aspiring drummer who gets in a band with a crazy band director, a guy who yells at people, insults them, throws cymbals at them and pushes them to their limit, for the intent of making somebody the newest greatest musician in the world.
While his methods are wacky, I agree with him that people have to not be 'nice' when another person messes up or can be better. Better to be blunt, tell them what they gotta improve on so they actually improve. If you go and say to somebody 'yeah, that was good', they will never improve or become great.
Really great movie, y'all should watch it if you're even remotely interested in band music or drums

but in the end, he failed. but it was probably my favorite acts of a villain character actually a lot of people say that kokichi's plan failed, and while its true that it didn't work to its full degree, i'd argue that if it weren't for him, no-one else would have come to the realisation that the killing game WAS indeed being watched thus giving the notive that the game wasn't as it seems; he kickstarted or sparked that idea which lead to the events of chapter 6 where you search for the truth of the game rather than a murder.
although i'd rather have his plan have worked in the first place, i think the idea that he's the main character to kick off the revolt against the killing games themselves is great in itself.
