Hmm, interesting. These seem like they might not be for gauntlets, however, for a few reasons:
1. The one in the center has a crystal theme to it, but we already have the Crystal Gauntlet obviously.
2. Some of the themes shown on each of themes don't seem like "gauntlet" themes. For example, just look at the fourth row: what would those be as gauntlets? Tree Gauntlet? Present Gauntlet? Wood Exclamation Point Box Gauntlet?
3. The "bases" for each of them don't resemble the existing Gauntlet icons.
4. The art for many of them don't resemble the current Gauntlet artwork.

Wood Exclamation Point Box Gauntlet? ngl I would love it if Rob added a Wood Exclamation Point Box Gauntlet. But yeah, these don't really look like they would be themes for new gauntlets. I'd expect that this is some new feature that he's been working on for 2.2 that he hasn't revealed yet. Or maybe it's some sort of addition to the gauntlets. I don't know. It could be anything. |

If he added levels that played like GD Worlds did then I'd be happy. I liked that concept for some reason.

To be fair about the names or themes at least, some of the existing ones only seem to match the icons loosely, like the Bonus Gauntlet and the Chaos Gauntlet; but I also agree that really we don't know what these are until we get 100% confirmation on what they are, and for now it's just speculation. |

coincidence or not this got released after i ranted about gauntlets in a nonsense thread. in fact there are for me bad news. knowing level choices robtop does for them it will be incredibly pissing off trying to get certain icon beating 5 maps with infamous gameplay and i surely wont touch them never again Well, a good chunk of these gauntlets will be creator contests, so let's hope the judges will pick good levels. It worked quite well with the Monster/Death/Magic gauntlets, even though the Doom one had some eh picks. |

Some of these gauntlets look VERY stupid (like the one with the crash bandicoot box), but that only makes me interested for what Rob is gonna do with these.

Some of the gauntlets look like references to other games as opposed to their own thing (one of them looks just like a heart potion in Legend of Zelda) while others seem to look quite interesting. We’ll have to see how these ultimately turn out.

They may be gauntlets that are either references or nods to certain games. There's the crate from Crash Bandicoot, the question mark block from Mario, etc. |
