Title: Oh yeah yeah User: BabyBato Not Rated Only a few downloads hey, I'm not here to judge your level, but to say that this judging pannel is pretty much dead for now. At least the last 3 judge requests (including mine and yours) were not even quoted or judged. It's pretty pointless, unfortunately

Title: Oh yeah yeah User: BabyBato Not Rated Only a few downloads hey, I'm not here to judge your level, but to say that this judging pannel is pretty much dead for now. At least the last 3 judge requests (including mine and yours) were not even quoted or judged. It's pretty pointless, unfortunately Lack of activity here has been an issue for some time now. There are only 2 active level judges that still use the forum, and they both are busy people but still set aside as much time as they can to level judge. One of the two judges, CreativeGuy, even says in his signature that it's normal for it to take upwards of 2 weeks for levels to be judged, and that you can tag him if it's been over that amount of time. Next time I recommend you either be a bit more patient and realize it may take more than a few days, or try to contact one of the level judges personally as supposed to indirectly complaining on someone else's thread.

But my thread has been out for almost a week now (6 days to be more exact), and I've also contacted three users I consider good at judging based off of what they've judged already (to no effect, I should say). I'm just complaining in another person's thread because I have nothing else to aim to. I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not spamming and I'm not self-promoting in other's threads, I'm just expressing my disappointment with the forums, and I can do that as far as I'm concerned. update: I've gotten some answers from judges, so this is not a big deal anymore, Lasty, I didn't want to be mean to judges, I really didn't. Sorry everyone for my saltynees :/

I understand you, I didn't want to be mean :/ also a adding a video of the level, or if you can, at least, some screenshots, would really help. if someone here lacks of time (which is 100% likely) they will take it as reference and it is a lot more inmediate than having to manually check the id, playing it, sometimes brating it... a reference of the level like the verification video is super useful when someone does not want to open gd, pasting id, downloading song................ lets be honest it gives a lot of laziness yeah, but I've also included a 1080p 60fps video of the level. Did you even check the thread I made? here's the informations I gave about the level in such thread: lvl name; lvl author; lvl difficulty; lvl id; video of the level; and even a disclaimer explaining that the gameplay was hacked to avoid lag while still being able to showcase the level without the need of ldm (low detail mode). So if there's a problem, it surely isn't lack of information. And I won't fill these informations here because I don't want to self advertise in other person's thread. Last but not least, I agree with you on the point that people might not have time to do judge levels everytime.

Apparently our jungle dragon is still asleep, so I'll judge this level by now. Video: Oh Yeah Yeah by BabyBato
GameplayTo be honest, I'm not really impressed. There are something to give credit, though. I'll elaborate below. - Yes, finally. I'm reviewing a level that syncs! The syncing is really good. It was until the last cube part which is just simple jumps . Syncing is really important (in case you don't know) as it gives the dynamic to players. Players love to play a level in which they need to click with the beat. (or some of the beat) Trust me, it feels much better. - Traces show that you are making this level in version 2.1. So make good use of EVERYTHING you get. Not only those exclusive in 2.1, (not much you can do with the spider) but also speed portals in 1.9, (the blue arrow, green double-arrow, pink triple-arrow) triggers in 2.0, and slopes in 1.9. - Speed portals are something that must be present in EVERY level. It controls how fast your player move. You can fit with the music. For example, push your player with insane high speed in the drop, and slow it down in slow sections. .5- 2 and 1- 3 are good speed allocations to separate slow and fast parts. (.5 is slow orange portal, 1 is normal speed blue portal, 2 is faster green portal, and 3 is fast pink portal) Just use them, you can't be much wrong. - I noticed that you used triggers in the level, but not enough. Move triggers have easing and you get to a new level of movement using them. Basically easing is a change in the speed of movement to create special effects. I personally love Back Out and Exponential Out, and I also use Bounce Out in movements that take around 1s. Experiment, and you will find your level becomes better. - Slopes are rather optional but in some styles of gameplay, they play a huge role. Not adding slopes in gameplay is totally fine. (although they can help much in deco) However, consider adding them to spice up your gameplay.
- Fix bugs in your gameplay. Perhaps asking a friend to playtest the level. That way you can get the feeling of a normal player playing the level. As the creator yourself, you know every single block of the level. You know where to jump, where not to, and how to time the jumps. However, no one else knows, and they just need to read the level. Are they following your intended route, or they are just exploiting bugs that really ruins the design of your gameplay? The easiest way to force people to go to your designed path is to block all other possible location with spikes/blades. That way, you can mitigate a lot of bugs present in the gameplay. - Small note: be careful of the hitbox of munchers and bats. DecorationErm, this level does not seem to be decorated. (I do see some cloud puns though) Here are some recommendations on deco. - Research. Type 'gd deco 2.1' on YouTube and you will get TONS of information. Don't like YouTube? Just play through the epic levels and copy them if possible. Just appreciate what they have done and just search for those objects they have used. - Experiment. Just run through what the editor gives you and mix and match them. Normal blocks, decoration blocks, triggers (they CAN be used for decoration) and much more. - Persevere. Decoration is NEVER an easy job. Take you time, and just be patient. Rome wasn't built in one day. Levels are the same. You get a extremely high cap of 80000 blocks. RubRub give that for a reason. Generally, no, it won't get featured and it Needs Improvement. (though you don't really mind if it's featured or not lol) Just be patient and take your time. Epic level take months to make. Don't be worried of your slow work. It's good. PS Shoutout to @jy2000 because he/she is just really active on this board and really good of judging. (He/she is always capable on adding something on my review) I believe that his work as a Level Judge is really demanding, considering all the level he need to review judge. I should really emphasize that everyone can judge levels. Please, stop complaining about this board being dead. Instead, contribute and make this board alive again. *uses Dragon Egg* dragon? you here? (sorry for these Terraria puns )

Agree with the review and thanks for your complements. Just to clarify, I'm male. A few more things to add however. Invisible portals, not good. Stagnant monsters and bossfights as well usually never work out, and excessive auto that flings you literally across the screen and even off it. All of these things are detriments to the level. But you basically said everything to be said for the rest of the review. Also taking a look at the previous posts on this thread I just have to say this to whoever reads this. We are not obligated to judge your level immediately. We are not even obligated to judge your level at all. This is something we take time out of our days to do for you. There were levels from fucking 2018 filling up 4 pages of 30+ levels on the panel a few weeks ago (which from what I know 2018 is older than a few weeks), and I as well as another judge judged about maybe more than half of that and archived the rest from inactive users. Considering these shorter reviews still take upwards of 30 minutes a level, I've spent an inordinate time even getting the panel down to a single page, which is something I haven't seen in like ever. You need to be patient whether it takes a week or 4 months to get to you. We put a lot of time into these reviews and it's not like we're getting paid to do it either. Some of us might not have that time, and some of us might not feel like spending what free time we have judging levels. Again, we're not obligated to do so, it's something we choose to put our time towards. So we would highly appreciate if people were more appreciating themselves. We judge from the bottom of the panel from the oldest to newest, if you desperately want a review you can tag an actual judge with the judging role and we can maybe jump up to the top and judge yours. Despite complaints about level judging being slow, I literally can only recall one time I have been tagged to judge a level in like the past forever. It literally says or at least said before if it doesn't anymore, in the panel that you can tag a judge if your thread is older than a week or two. If you can't even take the initiative to even do that, then it's pretty ridiculous to expect more from us and there shouldn't be any grounds to complain let alone diss the entire panel in someone else's thread. Moving to NI.
