What’s your opinion on mobile game ads that sometimes appear when you’re playing something?
Honestly, they’re really bad. I see the exact same thing over and over again and it gets irritating after a while.

I’m just thankful that airplane mode exists so I don’t have to deal with them. They make me actually plug in my headphones though since airplane mode shuts off Bluetooth. The ads are ridiculously annoying and a lot of free to play games have them pop up way too often. 30 second unskipable ones too. Absolute bs

I understand people who make apps need to make money, but when it gets to the point where the amount of fucking ad time is equal to or even more than the time I'm actually using the fucking app, then it's become a problem. And to be honest, I don't really believe half of the shit games you find on the mobile platform are even deserving of having ads, I'm not going to spend 2 minutes watching a video ad ever time I die ingame to play MLG_shRek shooter CODD 13 with stolen assets and compeltely buggy functionality. The games that actually have a standard for quality again is understandable to a certain extent, but again there is a point where it just becomes fucking greed. Tons of free games on PC are ad free, as a matter of fact I can't name a single one that randomly starts playing a video ad every 3 minutes. So honestly mobile gaming is mostly just a money trap and because of this I tend to stay far away from it with exception of maybe 3 games tops I enjoy playing currently. And strangely enough, none of those games have ads.

I don't mind ads as long as they're used sparingly. I really dislike when something pops up every 5 minutes because it can get really annoying, and that even happens for games like GDW/Subzero. Even though I don't think they should have as much ads, at least RobTop puts SOME effort into these spin-offs, so I don't mind them as much, but there's a huge pile of shovelware in the Google Play store that spam them all over the place. I hate when people make garbage apps that are filled with ads just for pure cashgrab. Just don't ever do that... put some effort into your stuff.

I'm not really a fan of experiencing ads while playing free mobile games. Thankfully, most ads can be skipped after 5 seconds and some can be skipped almost immediately by pressing the back button. Other than that, I wouldn't mind having a small amount of ads once in a while as long as it doesn't happen during actual gameplay sessions and if it isn't too often .

i can understand WHY they're needed for app developers and how important it can be for them to develop further but at the same time, i fucking hate having to sit through ads sooo i guess my view is "meeeh"
