I think that the player color system should be removed, and you should just be able to pick any color you want using the color picker for each of your icons and trails. The old player color 1 & 2 will be changed to main and secondary color for the cube. Also, any achievements/shop purchases can be relocated to regular icons.
So basically you will be able to change all of these colors separately:
-Trail
-Wave trail
-Dash orb
-Spider teleport
-Cube main & secondary
-Ball main & secondary
-UFO main & secondary
-Robot main & secondary
-Spider main & secondary
And for the people who just like using two colors, the player color system will be kept as a "legacy" option. Personally I think it's too limiting, though.

Don't you think it looks better as a whole if everything is the same 2 colors? I just think it is more consistent that way.

A lot of people like to mix up the colors of their icon though, so such limitations aren't really needed. If you really want to have the same two colors then it shouldn't be too hard to recreate that with a color wheel. OT: Nice suggestion. Personally I find the color achievements to be kind of lame and underwhelming, as it could be used for something cooler like an icon. With things like texture packs already being a thing, I don't see why it's necessary to limit the colors you'd be allowed to select for your icon. |

Like anything with lots of customization, you can use it really nicely or really badly. I use my own texture pack so I have to use white for my icons or else it looks bad, but I wish that I could change the color of the trail to something else. |

I just like the consistency of having the same colors for everything, but I get where you guys are coming from. Honestly, I feel that the only thing that makes icons matter are what we associate them with. If I see the white and black chessboard-like icon, I'm going to think of SrGuillester, doesn't matter who's actually playing.
What about making color and icon combos of pros, like Knobbleboy or Viprin, "trademarked", so other accounts can't use the exact same color and icon combo?

Not the best idea because it removes a lot of achievements but I think that if 2.2 adds icons with tertiary (third) colours, that would be really cool

Restricting the freedom of thousands of players just so a few famous people can feel like they're better than everyone else just because no one else can use the same icon? I was just thinking about the exact combos of color and icons. Just a thought to stop fake accounts... I didn't think about hacking when I posted my comment (sycogd, thanks for reminding me  ) Again, it was just an idea... If the color wheel becomes a reality, then this won't work anyway. Cuck_gmd |
