Weird thread idea "definitely not stolen" but something I really like is when you mess up very badly you just think you'll fail at the thing that you are doing but somehow you make it past that obstacle in your life and keep going just fine! It makes things pretty interesting lol.

One time a while ago, I was playing an RPG and accidentally ran into a block-like enemy thinking it was an item (which triggered a fight). Apparently, it was a "rare enemy" that had an unbelievably high defense and just a sorta high offense, and it KOed 3/4 of my fighters really quickly.
I don't even remember how this happened, but with my last fighter, I literally just spammed the same long-range move at it, and when the enemy would come near me, I would just move to the opposite corner of the arena. I did this for like ten minutes until I finally beat it and got a SHIT ton of exp.

i remember in the summer when you're supposed to do around 1 unit of work per 6 weeks, and we got to the last 3 week before our deadline and had 2 units to do.
felt like i was screwed until we somehow pulled it off, college work is toooough folks make sure to not get stuck behind schedule.

One of my running shoes came off in the first five seconds of a 2 mile race in track so I ran the whole race with 1 shoe and somehow still managed to get a 13 minute time.

I was playing osu! with some other people and the song we were playing was a undertale theme mashup. Near the end I shit you not Sans’ theme came up and I almost failed at that part. Like I was literally trying to find which circle to hit.
Good thing I still passed the map.

I died to a boss when playing Terraria but it had so little health that my very last projectiles finished him off when I was dead.

While doing Stalemate, I almost died at 40% again, but then thought: Hey! Don’t go up so high! So I didn’t. Still died at 53%, but I had a split second reaction.

i went into my grade 8 abrsm piano exam with a 39°c (102.2°f) fever, misheard the examiner's instructions for scales multiple times and at one point had to ask him to repeat what he said 4 consecutive times. left the room thinking i completely fucked it and almost had an aneurysm about a month later when news came that i passed with a distinction (137/150)

May 2018 was the month that destroyed the social life I had worked on gaining for a whole year. I had friends, the guy I had a huge crush on asked me out earlier in the year, I went out of the house at least once a week even. I found myself caught in an argument with my friends that I tried to handle but I ended up getting pretty pissed at them and they got even more pissed at me. Later that day I saw them and they acted like nothing happened.
A couple days later one of my friends asked what was troubling me and I didn’t want to say since I knew it could have a serious harm on our friendship, but she kept bugging me and I gave in and sent a very long paragraph explaining how the argument we had was stupid and that I did not like that they acted like nothing happened or ever said sorry. That’s when I lost everything and she just said she wasn’t friends with me anymore. Since the other friend of mine was her boyfriend, I assumed that that meant I wasn’t friends with him anymore either.
Through the summer though, with the very few interactions I had with her, things were friendly. Eventually the male friend came to one of my streams and didn’t know why I ditched them so suddenly, so I explained everything and he was never told any of that. When I got back to school, both of them were nice to me and we were friends again.
So that’s basically messing up and getting through in a nutshell
