There's definitely times to be super serious, and times to not be serious. If we're talking about online, then it's better to not take anything seriously and to avoid all topics that ask you to. But in reality, if a family member just died out of nowhere, you should probably be really serious about it and not crack jokes or anything. It really just depends on the context. But in general, I think it's worse to not be serious at all because you won't get through life if all you do is fuck around. If you're overly serious, people probably won't like you that much, but at least you'll get shit done.

Being never serious would be MUCH worse than always being serious. If you never take anything seriously, you're a serious (no pun intended) threat to yourself and others. If someone tells you, "You need to evacuate the area" in a fire and you don't, then that's much worse than just not being able to detect sarcasm or laugh at jokes.

I'd rather be bloody serious that not serious at all, because if I'd need to say something important, in the second case most people wouldn't believe me. Also I hate lying to people, so that's another reason.

super serious since being serious in non serious situations can be annoying at most but being non serious in a serious situation can potentially cause injuries
