So I want to lower my fps to 144 so I can beat a level like bloodbath (240hz bug) but when I change my hz to 144 geometry dash still caps with vsync on at 240fps. Unfullscreening fixes the fps but makes the game laggier at the same time to the point where it's just stuttery and unplayable. Any help fixing is appreciated thanks! Are you changing your refresh rate through your monitor options? Also not sure how does GD cap through high refresh rate monitors, because I don't even have 144hz. Sometimes I fix my screen tearing by quickly disabling and enabling fullscreen again, so maybe it may also fix the FPS issue.
For another option, you could use an FPS hack to change the FPS count, however some people consider it cheating because it's messing with the game's engine. Eventually you can also look for a copy that's compatible with 240hz (I think RpgRaketti had one, because he had 240hz).

I tried it through my monitor options and then through nividias program, and reason I'd rather not use the fps changer is because when you turn vsync off like that the game is more stuttery and hard to play at times, i'd rather just have true 144hz. Thanks for your help though.
