My brother and I share an account; this is a level that he made and I verified. It uses a simple style, and he wants some feedback on it. We both know it's not exactly feature-worthy, but still if you have time some feedback would be very much appreciated.

entropicvoxels Level Name: Tie Breaker Level ID: 45657777 Level Author: EntropicVoxels Review: Gameplay: 2/10: The gameplay in this level is pretty poor. While it isn't the worst, it's pretty boring in the beginning, and annoying in the end. The first cube doesn't really have much in terms of enjoyment. It's pretty linear and boring. The ball and wave are a bit more exciting, but still kinda boring and lazy. My main problem with the gameplay in the first half is the auto sections. They're too long and they feel more like lazy substitutions for actual gameplay. The second cube has okayish gameplay. It suffers from similar issues the first part does, but it has good sync with the music. It goes into another auto part which is a bit irritating but it's just before the drop so I can partially excuse it. The bossfight ship gameplay is pretty linear but also pretty annoying. The music doesn't really sync with the bosses movements, making them harder to predict. There aren't any arrows to indicate where you have to go so it makes it hard to play. The cube and wave part pick it up a bit in terms of gameplay, as the player's movements sync with the song so it makes it less of a guessing game. It's also a bit more dynamic than the rest so props to you for that, but ultimately, the gameplay needs work. To improve, try to make your gameplay more dynamic and more sight-readable, as it'll be much more fun to play. If you want some inspiration, try to look at some of the better gameplay creators in my opinion, namely Taman and Alkali, and try to apply some of their ideas to your own levels (while not directly stealing them of course). Design: 2/10: The design isn't very great either. Most of the designs are messy. The first part probably has the best design compared to the rest, yet some of it looks messy. The primary issues are the colors. They generally don't flow well together and they make the level look very sloppy and unpolished. The wave part has no block design at all, and several other parts have rather very minimal block design. The laser effect in the wave part looks very static and doesn't really have any flow to it. I recommend experimenting with easings to add more flow to your designs. The bossfight has mediocre designs, often very basic and static, without any real charm to it. Overall, not completely terrible, but it needs work. Music Sync: 4/10: This is a better aspect of the level, but still needs a lot of work. The level doesn't sync very well until the second cube. Then the sync improves, but still not the best. I like the eyes flashing to the beat before the drop, so props for that. The bossfight moves a bit to the song, but it needs work. After the ship part the sync is pretty average, not too great, but not poor either. Overall, still needs work, but you did better in this section. Overall: 8/30: Needs Improvement: This level has quite a few flaws that should be addressed for future levels that you and your brother make. Try to take inspiration from popular creators to help you improve your own designs. Good luck creating in the future!

I would say the first half of the level is definitely better than the second half. The block design at the beginning definitely looks good, but overall design is where it falls short. Gameplay in the second half is what really brings this level down, unfortunately. I definitely agree with your point where it needs arrows. Bossfights often lack the opportunity to see what's coming up, and since this uses a mix of attacks and maneuvers, it can get confusing. I pretty much agree with this review here. I would say this is High-End Needs Improvement, it generally looks good, just lacking in some parts which is why I would personally place it higher up. Review Approved! Moving to Needs Improvement.
