It's kinda sad to see this company go. Toys R Us has impacted many lives throughout its 60-year life. Just admit it, it has even impacted your life somehow. It's going to be hard to explain how this happened, so I'll just leave this video that explains the history of and how Toys R Us eventually collapsed.
If you have any comments or memories you would like to share, just comment them down below. But other than that, it looks safe to say, "Toys Were Us."

Lucky BlazeD77, Toys R Us was bought by Fairfax in Canada :^) I mean in Asia and Africa Toys R Us isn't impacted by the bankruptcy too, anyways I remember when I was a kid my parents would drive us a few miles there. Not sure what I did there though.

Didn't go in that much; I went into more local toy stores. A long time ago, I didn't think it would actually close though.

Now I'll have to buy all my games at-- (chokes)Gamestop. I didn't get much other than video games at this store. I bought my first amiibo and my first pro controller there. While it didn't have as big of a childhood taking place at this store, it was still a fun detour.

It's certainly sad to see them leave but at least I won't be getting emails about free birthday gift cards in the middle of April anymore (my birthday is in August)
The location near my house was never terribly great so I didn't go there a lot, it's still going to feel weird having a gigantic empty building where it used to be.

In Canada we lost Zellers which was a huge grocery store chain and there was a lot of good deals for everything there. That all changed when a company bought Zellers and then went bankrupt or something, so Zellers stores remained empty forever. I can tell ya, itβs really frickin weird to have empty stores all around.
