It's BBCode that allows text to scroll. I think this is more of a Proboards thing rather than a forum thing, though I'm not 100% sure. |

After checking what the code is, I think the reason why the code is banned is because of this...
–No "forum-breaking" posts or threads. This means no absurdly long walls of text or thread titles, emote spam (this lags Tapatalk users), or code "tricks"/special characters that will mess up the forum layout.

Marquees are a plugin that allow text to scroll across the page. When it was added in (probably two years ago), it quickly became abused and many threads (particularly in Forum Games and Lounge) contained several marquees of images moving at different speeds across the screen. This created immense amounts of lag, especially for mobile users, and were thus removed from usage through the censoring of the BBCode. They were brought back for one day during April Fool's 2017 though. |
