I have a Windows 10 PC with Intel i7 and Nvidia Geforce 940MX.
The game has randomly stopped working on my PC when I open from steam or from the .exe file. When I try to open the game, the loading screen appears and the game seems fine, but within 10 seconds of opening, it freezes, either bringing up a "geometrydash.exe has stopped working" or locking my computer entirely. I think the problem is based on my graphics card, because the only times I've got it to work is through connecting a second monitor and pressing Shift+Win+Right Arrow to move the program over as it's starting up, but it was very precarious. When it did work, the game functioned perfectly.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times, including searching for and deleting all files for the game directly, but nothing has fixed it. I've also tried all compatibility mode options for the .exe, but Win 95 and 98 load laggy unplayable versions, and Win XP freezes the game on level exit and every time I click. I have also tried completely reinstalling steam, verifying file integrity and switching the graphics card that the game starts up on.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm completely out of ideas.
Thank you.
