Hey everyone! This is an idea I've had in mind for a while now, so I wanted to share it with you guys and let you guys give some opinions about it.
As all of you may know, this is the current search bar:

I was wondering if RobTop could add a song button in the bar, allowing you to search song names. Then, from the list of songs from Newgrounds that comes out of your search, listed by their frequency of usage, you can choose the song that you're looking for, and click a button that lets you search for levels that use that song.
Just a simple idea, I think it's quite useful :)

This already exists. Go to the plus symbol on the search bar, select song, and then type in the ID of the song if it’s a custom song or just select the official song.
I’m gonna lock this since this already exists, but I want to make sure you see the above paragraph.
EDIT: I misunderstood the point of this thread. My bad. I'm moving it to Community suggestions though.
Overall this seems like a nice feature, and it's pretty simple to add to so it isn't too much of a hassle.

It's always so annoying having to search it up on newgrounds, or find another level with that song just to know the id so that you can search for songs.

You can search the song name on newgrounds, copy the ID, click the "+" button, input the ID, click "search" and voila!
This already exists.

You apparently didn't get the point of the suggestion. He meant search for the NAME not the ID. Searching for the id is too much of a hassle. I'm a she... ...but you have a male voice in the "Dance Killer" videoAnyway, the suggestion could be thing since it could end up being in the pile of Robtop's planned features for an update as long as it's not going to be for 2.2. There should be more settings to show songs that are allowed, most used, least used, recent, etc. Edit: Apparently, you already put most used but the songs could be set in other ways as I mentioned. |
