I wanted to get back into this game, so when I opened it up it ran at like 15 FPS. Decided to clear my Temp files, and it ran at like 20. It's playable, but it's annoying. Does anyone know a way to speed it up further?

Game Support thankfully doesn't allow for memes.
There's some settings in Geometry Dash you can mess around with to improve performance. "Optimize Moving Objects", maybe lowering the graphics, etc.

Turning on Low Detail Mode can generally reduce a bit of lag. There isn’t really much more you can do though.

I'm assuming this is on PC. Try going into the Task Manager when the game is running, right click the Geometry Dash process, click "go to details", click the Geometry Dash process there again, click Set Priority, and set it to High. Also try this: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=475747492Obviously switch out Ark with GD.

Sometimes the game runs slower if you have a bunch of files inside your documents (songs, levels, and other stuff). Clearing some of them may decrease a bit of lag and loading time.

If you have Discord on your PC, disable the overlay. This decreased lag for me quite a lot.
