here's an idea in the level editor, in the section you have selected, you will be able to replace a certain block with another block. same with blocks using one certain color.

Can you explain? Where would the option be located on the editor screen, and how would the builders be able to use it?
Is it like the Filter, basically, but it lets you swap blocks? I don't really think it's a great idea, because it would be kind of hard to implement. Like, if you had Fingerdash-styled blocks and you wanted to swap them out for puzzle-piece blocks, how would that work. Would the pieces just be randomly placed?

it would probably with the buttons on the editor pause menu, and would bring up a menu of selecting blocks or colors to replace.

I can't believe Robtop doesn't check this board more often. This is a great suggestion and could be incredibly useful for redecorating or remaking levels. Something that could make this better would be the ability to replace multiple blocks with one block and vice versa; for example, this way spike design would be a lot easier because you'd replace all the plain spikes with decorated spikes in just a few clicks instead of having to manually copy and paste them throughout the section.
