It's honestly really effortless. The only thing that could actually make you jump is Baldi's jumpscare, and even then, it gets repetitive after seeing it the fifth time.
The game is a 5/10 at best, and calling it one of the "best games" is kind of an insult.
It falls under the same place as FNaF: it's scary the first few times you play it, but then it becomes a strategy game.

ok so what i have seen of the game:
- intentionally bad looking design
- oh a glitch question you cant answer correctly
- oh its spooky
- oh
dont see how it is very interesting but most of the "spook" games like ddlc dont really seem as bad as people make it seem like

We've all seen games that have left a huge impact on the internet, and how everyone played them including youtubers, how they created huge fanbases etc. For example, we've had Undertale, FNAF, Doki Doki, Fortnite, etc. A recent addition to this chain of events is Baldi's Basics. Today I'm going to talk about the game in general, the story and why it's a horror masterpiece. Those games you listed had a considerable ammount of effort put into making them good. And even if the only one I like is Undertale, I still acknowledge the others for deserving their popularity. However this baldi shit is so bad, it's not worth the attention it's getting at all. It's a rip-off of Slender, my fav horror game, and looks like crap (idc if it's intentional) . I watched only a video of it, and now all i'm getting in my recommended is "Youtubers react to Baldi ruler slap" |

Just because something is low effort doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I would agree with others saying it's definitely not one of the best, but I still think it has its merits as executing a niche concept in a somewhat unique way.
