Right now it's impossible to delete threads. But I thought of a clever way to get around that.
Step 1: Make a Sub-Forum called Deleted Threads or something like that
Step 2: Make sure only staff can see it.
Step 3: Profit $$$
Now whenever someone wants their threads deleted, they just ask staff members to move their thread to the Deleted Threads Sub-Forum where the threads are, essentially, "deleted".
EDIT: I saw that my recommendation got rejected. I didn't know that you could already do this because people always say you can't delete. Whatever then.

Staff are already able to delete threads. It often doesn't happen though as usually those threads which aren't breaking any major rules could still have use, but there's no need for any new posts.

We move threads to the archive board which only we can see and it serves literally the same purpose as what you just said.
So I'm just gonna move this to rejected since this already exists.
