Alrighty let's get into it.
First of all, the color scheme in this level is very monochromatic. It's kind of this ugly dark green color and it stays the same throughout the entire level. Maybe use more shades of green and kind of create a color scheme. Also try to use more pulsing objects and flashes to make your level seem more dynamic. Just be careful not to overdo it xd.
The decoration is extremely subpar for a level in this day and age. To me it looks like a pre-1.9 level. For one thing, the block designs were pretty basic. Try to use more layers of objects and make it more complex. There were lots of empty black spaces that you could've filled some decoration in. The backgrounds were very object spammy and didn't look that great. There were also lots of copy-pasted assets. One of them, the red flame block, not only were repetitive, but also completely contrasted with the green. The foreground decoration also is kind of copy-paste spammy, and messy. Try to fill up space, but at the same time make the level look clean and organized. And again, do it, but remember not to overdo it. The custom orbs/pads also did not look very good. Sometimes, less is more. A regular pad or orb would've looked fine.
And so we come to the gameplay. Oh boy. Let's just be blunt and say...it was not good. Extremely annoying and not fun to play at all. For starters, DO NOT PUT INVISIBLE OBSTACLES/OBJECTS. This makes the level memory-based, and not in a good way. And please do not use text instructions as a replacement for visible spikes or orbs. Sight read does not mean to literally read, as I sincerely hope you know. The sections without the very annoying invisible objects were just pretty repetitive as well. Try to vary your gameplay so we aren't just repeating the same things over and over. Like half the level was just wave repeating the same motions. There were also lots of strange and annoying timings, some which could possibly be classified as "buggy gameplay" if I really wanted to.
In conclusion: make the gameplay fair (i.e. no invisible objects/sudden transitions), and make it ever changing and different. Improve colors and design, fill up empty spaces, but also make sure to make clean designs and not overcrowd. Add some pulses, the level looks very static as of is. Try taking a look at other featured levels from 2.1. Try to see what they did and maybe find some inspiration or something to model off of. Just make sure to not blatantly copy from a level. Good luck in any future endeavors though.
I don't really want to/like to categorize level as I'd rather just focus on improvement, but as I'm waiting for approval for a generic "Judged" board to move levels in I have to give this level a categorization. Unfortunately there's only one place I can see this level going. Again, try to look at other creators who have been awarded ratings for some inspiration.
Moving to NI.
